Chapter 3

Sherra's Pov

The taxi that I am riding in was still far from my house but I could already see Jared's car parked in front of my house. He is standing outside his car and cuddling a woman. I'm not going to guess who is the woman with him because I'm sure that woman is none other than my shameless and pretentious ex-best friend. Cuddling each other in front of my eyes without worrying that someone might see them and it will reach my knowledge. They are both shameless! The two immediately separate when they noticed that a taxi is coming. The taxi where I was in.

My blood suddenly boiled just by looking at them. They really had thick faces and they could still show their faces in front of me without feeling guilty. Damn! I want to run over their bodies in the middle of the road. If only I could do it and if killing people is not a crime and a mortal sin I think I already killed them last night. They thought that they could fool me forever. The hell with them! Now, I don't feel even the slightest care and love for them because all that's left in my heart is anger for what they did to me.

When I got off the taxi, they immediately approaches me with a fake worried expression on their faces. I want to applaud them for their best acting. What a perfect fake couple. Jared hugged me tightly but I push him immediately. I think he didn't notice my cold expression because he didn't mind when I pushed him.

"Why you didn't answer our call and text, Sherra? Do you know  that we're very worried about you?" Jared said, displaying his fake worried face. 

I think the times that Jared hugged me and also when we were very sweet in front of Amy. I'm very happy at that time but I didn't know that they are secretly laughing at me behind my back because I'm a fool. But I won't let them continue to fool and laugh at me. Never again.

"Jared was right, Beshy. We were really worried about you. Jared was so worried about you that he didn't sleep well," Amy said as if she was really worried about me. But I know that deep inside, she is secretly mocking me because I have no idea that they are cheating on me. 

Jared tries to hug me again but I strongly pushed him away from me. This time, he finally notices my cold attitude but I didn't care at all. I didn't explain to him instead I faced Amy and gave her a malicious grin.

"How do you know that he didn't sleep well, Amy? Did you sleep at his house last night? Did you sleep next to each other? And are you sure he didn't sleep because he was worried about me and not because you didn't let him sleep?" I asked while giving her a sharp look.

"What kind of questions is that, Sherra? Why would I sleep at your boyfriend's house? What do you think of me? I don't steal my best friend's boyfriend. You hurt my feelings, you know that?" Amy said with a frown and a little bit annoyed. I knew that she was only pretending to be annoyed because she was hit by my words.

"Amy was right, Sherra. We are worried about you. But why do you think that we cheated on you?" Jared asked me angrily. I gently shook my head. They really suit each other. They acted very well. Anyone who can see and hear us will be on their side because their acting is too convincing. But they failed to convince me. Their acting won't work on me anymore.

"Let's break up, Jared. And I don't want to be friends with you anymore, Amy. From now on, we don't care for each other anymore," I said blankly at them. They look surprised by what they heard from me. The surprise that I saw on their faces was real but Amy's slight smile did not escape from my sharp eyes. I know that she is secretly happy with what I have said because they don't need to hide their relationship from me anymore. The smile that I saw on her face only last for a second because her expression becomes sad and then started to act again in front of me.

"Why, Sherra? What have I done wrong to you? Why don't you tell me so we can fix it? Don't waste our friendship that we built over the years because of your nonsense jealousy," Amy asked me crying. Her acting is truly award-winning.

"And me, Sherra? Why are you breaking up with me? What have I done wrong to you? Do you fall in love with another man? Did you cheat on me, Sherra?" Jared asked me angrily then in just a few seconds his expression quickly change. "I love you so much, Sherra. Don't do this to me," Jared begged.

I stared at their faces which were both crying and pleading. Their looks today are far from what I saw them last night while they were tasting each other's bodies. I will give them a thumbs up for their actions and I couldn't stop myself from clapping.

"Nice acting! Very nice!" I said while shaking my head. "But y

it won't work on me anymore. So please, stop pretending anymore. Stop acting because I am almost nauseating with your fake concern."

"What are you talking about, Sherra? We don't understand what you're saying," Jared confusedly asked me.

"Jared was right. What's going on? What's really your problem?" said Amy. Her expression is confused but her eyebrows are raised to the highest level.

"Well done! Best actor and best actress! Why did the two of you become actors? With that acting skills, I'm sure both of you can definitely impress many great producers and directors," I said with a mocking smile on my face while clapping.

 "What are you talking about, Sherra? Can you explain to us why you're acting like that? Is this a prank? This is not funny, okay?" Jared shouted at me. He seems really annoyed. The nerves! He has the guts to shout at me. I wanted to hit his face with my shoulder bag but I restrained myself. I'm not a violent person.  But I might become violent now if I can't control myself.

"Don't act in front of me, Amy, Jared. It's just the three of us so you can show me your both real colors. I already know that you two have a relationship. That you're cheating on me! You two are animals! Immoral!" I shouted angrily. I thought I can control my anger but it seems I was wrong. Seeing them act innocent makes me lose my self-control. I saw the surprise on their faces, especially Jared, who suddenly turned pale when he heard the words I said. They suddenly become mute and just stare at me. "You thought I wouldn't find out what you're doing behind my back? When did you start fooling me?!"

 "H-How did you know that Amy and I have r-relationship?" Jared asked stuttering then he shot a sharp look at Amy who suddenly shows her true color. "Are you the one who told Sherra that we were having an affair, Amy? Did you admit the truth to her?" he asked Amy angrily.

"Of course not. Why would I tell that stupid girl that we have an affair behind her back? I'm still enjoying seeing her making a fool of herself in front of us. And what are you afraid of? You should be happy because we will officially be lovers now that she knows our little secret," Amy replied Jared then gives me a mocking smile. We have been friends for a long time but I only see now her true behavior. "You're asking when we started fooling you, Sherra? We've been in a relationship for many years and the only thing we're missing is marriage. And it's your fault why we managed to fool you. So blame yourself for being stupid!"

My self-control suddenly breaks when I heard what Amy called me so I slapped her face. Amy was surprised but quickly recovered. She's brave so I know she won't allow herself and will get back at me. I thought she was going to slap me too so I prepared my hand to block her hand in case she slapped me back. But I didn't expect that she would not slap me instead, she strongly kick my stomach. I was off-guard so I was thrown into the road but I didn't fall because my back collided with someone's hard body. When I looked back to see who owned the hard body, I didn't expect the person that I will see. 

 "K-Kurt Contreras?" my eyes widened as I say the name of the last person that I don't want to see anymore.
