Savanna’s POV.

“I think this is dirty,” I said as I held Aurora, my best friend's pink dress, and sniffed it. Her Chanel perfume hit me back. I couldn’t even describe if it was dirty or not.

I stood in front of Aurora’s pink dressing mirror inside her pink room, sorting out her dirty clothes for laundry. Everything including Aurora’s pillow were pink, since pink was her favourite and only color that she admired. My long hair cascaded down my shoulder, and my blue eyes met my reflection in the mirror.

I know Aurora wouldn't like it if she entered and saw me trying to wash her clothes, but the truth was that she deserved every good thing I was doing to her now.

Washing her clothes is nothing compared to everything she has done for me. Should I talk about her accommodating me when I have nowhere to go? Even though her parents were against this, she made sure I felt free in her parents house without any disturbance.

“Savanna.” I heard Aurora’s tiny voice calling me as she strode inside her room.

“No! No!! Drop those clothes!.” She said as she looked into the direction of where I was standing.

“It’s nothing.” I said.

“Don’t try that with me, Savanna.”

“The maids will sort it out.”

“Rich kid!” I said jokingly as I dropped all the clothes on the marble floor.

Aurora being the only daughter of a billionaire made her life soft and living as a queen since I met her while we were in first year in college, she was born with a silver spoon, while me in the other hand being an orphan since I was 10 and working per time since that very young age made us see life differently.

“Where are you going, madam?” I inquired as I noticed her wearing an extremely beautiful pink dress with light makeup to compliment her already beautiful face.

“I’m going on a date, baby.” She said with her face radiating with a smile.

Her beauty and her smile is nothing but contagious, her oblong face matches with her curvy figure. She’s absolutely breathtaking.

“Date?”

“Yes, I just met him last week.”

“And you didn’t tell me about that ?”

“Babes, I’m late already, we will talk about that when I’m back.” She said as she sprayed the Chanel perfume she was holding on her body, dropped it on the dressing mirror and darted to the door.

“Do I look good?” She shouted at the entrance.

“Yes, my love.” I answered as I picked my phone to go through the social media. Suddenly my mind drifted to Kael, my boyfriend.

“Why is he not replying to my messages?” I muttered as I went through our chat on I*******m.

Kael and I have been dating for 2 years, although he hasn’t made our relationship public, being a billionaire heir , he claimed he doesn’t want his parents to know now because of our financial differences. So I agreed to him, the relationship was only between Aurora, I and him.

I tried to call him again, but he wasn’t picking up his calls.

“I have to go see him and know what’s up about him.” I said to myself as I stood and began searching for what I would wear.

I picked my pink long dress, and paired it with a gold purse and heels that Aurora got for me on my birthday and laced it with gold jewelries to match the dressing.

As I stepped out of the room, my heart raced as I spotted Aurora’s mum watching T.V in the sitting room. I stood at the staircase for minutes, trying to summon the courage to go or to go back to Aurora’s room.

Finally, I decided to go.

“Go-o-d afterno-on, ma.” I said with a trembling voice as I reached her sight.

“Mtchew.” She hissed as she concentrated back on what she was watching.

My legs dribbled on the marble floor. I hurriedly moved out of the house.

I knew I should have gotten used to this , but I can’t. I really want them to see me as one, I’m not in their Empîre to hurt them.

As I got out of the house, the afternoon sun glinting and very hot that made my body react to how hot it was. The estate felt long for me to walk from where I was standing to the estate gate to where I would board a cab.

“The sun is extremely hot.” I muttered.

••••••••

“Drop me at the entrance of the tall building.” I said to the driver.

“Okay, madam.”

The driver drove down the road and halted at the entrance of Kael’s apartment in the biggest extension in New York City.

“Thank you.” I said as I got off the cab and closed the door.

As my legs stepped on the floor, I felt a breeze swing through my body.

“It’s needed.”

“The sun is extremely hot.” I said to myself as I continued walking.

I entered the apartment, a familiar smell lingered in me , as I was walking towards his apartment.

“The perfume smells so familiar.” I muttered.

As I reached the door, I suddenly halted as I heard a familiar voice coming from the room.

“That bitch really thinks you want her or want to have anything to do with her.”

“Don’t mind her, she’s just a slow person ignoring all the signals.”

“Fool at 30” I heard the voice again.

My head spinning on my shoulder as I moved closer to the door.

“Who is inside with Kael?”

“Who are they referring to?”

The last time I checked I just clocked thirty last month, is it possible that they were referring to me?

I don’t know what entered me as I suddenly pushed the door open.

Aurora?

My vision went blank immediately. What am I looking at? Aurora, my best friend, and confidant on my boyfriend, lying peacefully on Kael, my boyfriend's body on the bed.

“What is this?” I said with a barely audible voice.

“Look at this fool.” I heard Aurora’s voice rang out without any sign of remorse.

“Don’t mind that idiot.”

“She thinks I will be with a lowlife being like her.” Kael added.

So, what I heard at the entrance was about me. My mouth sealed at that point, no word came out from my lips as I heard those fools raining insults at me.

So this is how life is?

My Aurora?

“You’re my best friend and I would love you forever.” The statement echoed in my head reminding me of Aurora’s speech on my surprise 30th birthday she did for me.

“You’re an evil covering your deed with the good things you did for me.” I said as I hurriedly to the bed. But as I was about to get to her, Kael suddenly stood up and pushed me back, making me hit my head on the wall.

“Yeeeeeh.” I screamed as my head slammed against the cold wall. The pain numbed me, the betrayal choked me. And then, nothing.

  • The Billionaire’s Dead Wife    The Cost of a Lie

Anderson’s POV“How could you do this?”My mother’s voice cracked through the silence like a whip. sharp and furious. I flinched, not from guilt, but from shock. I didn’t see this coming. I had covered my tracks. I’d erased the footage. I’d wiped it all clean. No one, not even my P.A., who happened to be my closest friend, knew I was the one who pushed Gabriella. So how the hell did my father get that video?“You see that?” my father’s voice followed, calm but poisonous. “He can’t even defend himself.”His stare was like ice, piercing through me as if I were nothing more than a stain he couldn’t scrub off his legacy.“You nearly killed that girl, Anderson.”The word killed echoed in my head, dark and heavy. I wanted to speak, wanted to explain, to lie, to twist the story into something less… monstrous, but the words refused to form. The pressure in the room was suffocating.“What made you do that?” my mother asked. Her voice was quieter now, laced with confusion, concern, and just a h

  • The Billionaire’s Dead Wife    Let the show begins!

Savanna/Gabriella’s POVAs he left the ward, my eyes lingered on the door, my mind lost in a haze. The president’s son and billionaire was my new husband and was as cold as he was distant. Rude, even. This was the man I was now bound to? Not a shred of sympathy, not even the faintest glance in my direction. I tried to focus, tried to force my mind to clear through the fog of confusion, but his words, his coldness, kept repeating in my head. How could this be my life now?“Who told him she’s awake?” Gabriella’s father’s voice broke through the silence, sharp and annoyed, pulling me back to the present.“Who knows?” Gabriella’s mother’s voice followed, quieter, more controlled, but with an edge of concern that lingered in the air.He slipped his hand into his pocket, pulling out his phone. His fingers were steady as he dialed a number, his voice low, filled with authority. “His father needs to hear about this.”“Does it really matter now?” A woman’s voice, one of the others in the room

  • The Billionaire’s Dead Wife    The Power Struggles

Anderson’s POVAs I placed my hands on her body to feel her temperature, she opened her eyes, and those eyes met mine. But instead of her rare, red, piercing eyes, always staring at me when tying my tie, I saw green eyes staring straight at me.Confused. I blinked. Maybe the hospital lighting was playing tricks on me.“You heard what I just said, right?”“Your children are waiting for you at home,” I said coldly.Marrying Gabriella was one of my biggest regrets in life. I was just forced into the responsibility of being a husband, a duty I was never ready for with someone I don’t love. And now, she’s even moving weirdly.“My in-law,” her father said again. His voice alone irritates me. I detest standing with an irresponsible father-in-law who only thinks about money , status and power, he doesn’t care about the welfare of his children.I bet they don’t even know I pushed her off the staircase. And even if he does, he won’t say or do anything about it.“Money worshipper,” I muttered

Savanna’s POV. “What’s she trying to do?”“Trying to hit me?”“You can’t try that with me.” I heard Aurora’s tiny voice.“She hit her head on the wall.” Kael's voice rang in my head.“And so?” “She should just die,”Aurora said coldly. “What has her presence in life done for me.”“She’s just a fool that doesn’t allow me to enjoy my man in peace.”“H-el.” I said slowly with a very low voice. I felt blood gushing out of my head, I couldn’t stand up from where I was. “H-elp.” I whispered. But no help was rendered for hours, suddenly I felt them dragging my body on the floor. My body landed inside a river, and I felt like I was sinking. Suddenly, their voices faded . My world went dark again. ———————————The garden felt ethereal, the wind blowing gently, as I walked through the garden with a white flowing garment. Everywhere around me felt cold as I was walking. “Savannah! Savannah!!” I heard a voice echoing from behind. I turned my back to look at where the voice was coming from
