LOGINMy lazy eyes fell on the lady who had been assigned to do my makeup. As per Sophie's instruction, I must look exactly as Diana in every way possible even though I wasn't really the makeup type of girl but they left me with no other choice.
We had spent the last couple of hours at the mall searching for outfits for me. They were all glittery and sophisticated for a proper lady from a wealthy home. But to me, it felt like torture. Most of the dresses Sophie picked out required me to hold my breath at most.
I was beginning to rethink my decision, being rich came with a lot of difficulties too.
Jake walked into the small room with a photo on his left hand, he placed it on the vanity table and knocked against it gently.
"Here is what we want her to look like"
I snuck a peek at the photo of a lady grinning who looked no less than me. If I wasn't aware of my doppelganger, I'd have mistaken her as me.
There wasn't any much difference between us except that her skin was much nourished when compared to mine. It was truly unbelievable.
My parents never had another daughter aside from me and they never mentioned that I had any sister either. This could all be a coincidence.
"Aren't they the same person?"
Jake and I exchanged brief glances. He was the first to break off from the eye contact and raised his head to the lady who just spoke standing behind me. He laughed dryly, shaking his head.
"Of course they are the same person, but she needs to look exactly as she did two years ago. and that photo was taken two years ago"
From the expression on her face, I could tell she already bought the lie. Jake held the photo next to my face pointing out some features she should work on.
We spent the next one hour and forty five minutes on my makeup. Once she was done, she moved aside granting me access to see my reflection in the mirror.
I rounded my eyes in shock. I never knew I looked this pretty, my fingers grazed past the red lipstick on my lips.
"Don't!... don't do that!"
"It's my face isn't it? so why don't you just mind your business?" I inquired with an arched brow. At this point, Jake and his mum certainly had no control over me, because they needed me way more than I needed them.
The lady who took care of my makeup packed up her equipment and left through the door leaving Jake and I in our privacy.
"My business? do you have any idea of how much we spent to make your ugly face glow as Diana's?"
I was about to retort when I caught sight of the makeup lady standing by the door. She beamed at me and knocked on the door before making her way back into the room.
"I'm really sorry. I forgot the key to my apartment" She spoke pointing to the bunch of keys on the vanity table.
She picked it up and left afterwards. I felt kinda off about her actions a while ago. Was I just overthinking or did she really try to eavesdrop on our conversation?
Maybe I was just overthinking since Jake didn't find anything wrong with her actions. Who knows? maybe she was their close friend or so.

I've never been this nervous in my entire life. I watched the tree and garden shrubs that sped past us as the car made its way through the driveway.
Just a few minutes more and my life was going to change for good or for worse. But then again, there was nothing to be scared about. I'm Ivy Garcia. I reminded myself.
I went through the ten page script which was handed to me by Jake. We had a little argument on our way over here when he gave me the scripts which was nothing else other than the list of people Diana was well familiar with and her likes and dislikes.
There was absolutely no way I'd be able to learn all of these in a few minutes. The car came to a halt in front of the large white colored building.
My breath hung up in my chest, it all felt like a dream. A wide grin graced my face as I happily bolted out of the car, shocking Jake who was just about to say a word to me.
I failed to see his eyes grow large, I wobbled as soon I stepped out of the car, darn it!
These stupid stilettos I was made to wear were killing my ankles, as it stands, Diana loved her stilettos so much which meant that I was going to be stuck wearing high heels for a while.
My back met the car behind me before an angry looking lad stood in front of me with a hard glare directed to my face.
"What the heck do you think you're doing?! There's no room for that obnoxious behavior of yours alright?! stop acting like a thug! you're now a…
My left hand instinctively pressed against his mouth to stop him from yelling. Like I had said earlier, they needed me way more than I needed them and I wasn't going to tolerate any form of bullying from either one of them.
"I'm like a time bomb. And it would take me absolutely a second to change my decision to work for you and your mother! don't yell at me again! I'm not your girlfriend"
I didn't miss the look of shock on his face as soon as I said those words to him, I moved away from him, straightening the red satin gown I wore.
Few steps away from him and he hadn't moved from the same spot I left him, turning around swiftly I found him staring into space, it appeared my words knocked off his ego.
"Are we doing this or not?"
Jake briefly took a glance at me and mumbled something under his breath, perhaps he was cussing at me or worse plotting on how to make me pay.
After a few seconds, he regained his composure and began walking to me.
"Follow me"
Beautiful…That was the right word to describe the male figure on the bed. His raven black hair was all stylishly messy, for a brisk moment, I wondered how it would feel to run my hand into his hair. He had a prominent nose and perfect jawline. I licked my bottom lips greedily as I gazed upon his plump ones. He was too perfect to be true. More like every girl's dream man.Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. Taking a glance around the room to ensure no one was here or any hidden camera was insight. Once I had ensured that the coast was clear, I approached him on his bed.My thoughts were insane and a bit wild but I had to satisfy my curiosity. I raised my index finger slowly down to his eyelid to do the unthinkable. I'd like to know and also see the color of his eyes.I was so carried away by my mischievous act that I didn't realize when the door opened. “Diana” My eyes rounded in shock. I recognized that voice, it was Vivian's. My finger originally on Scott's eyelids rushed into
The large double doors leading to the spacious living room were pushed open by two female servants. I noticed the look they threw at me which was the same as Jake and Sophie's the previous day we first met.I tried my best to be in my best composure, i wasn't much of an actress material but at least I could act a bit natural.A few distant voices coming from the living room drew my attention. From their voices I could make out there were more than five people in there.Jake and I moved further into the room and my eyes were almost blinded by the glittering and elegant decor. My brain was quick to make a real calculative move on the total cost of everything.Maybe if I were to steal a single vase, I might become rich if I sold it. I laughed at the naughty thoughts and at the same time made a mental note to write that down in my to do list.Hehehe..."Sophie..I left an important beauty vacation just for you to flaunt your outfit? Come on! If there's really nothing serious to discuss, ju

Diana?I was just as confused as the handsome guy and the woman who sat at the front seat of the car. I caught sight of the driver peeking too and it made me scared for a minute. Were they thieves? Or did I jump into the bad guys den?But they looked well off to be thieves or any bad person. My heart thumped gently as I met his eyes."What?" I managed to ask.***Whoever these two were, they were certainly wealthy enough to afford a restaurant like this. I wrapped my palm around the nearest glass of water on the table and brought it to my lips taking down large gulps.Unbeknownst to me, the young man and the middle aged woman both stared at me in disgust as I chowed down different plates of food brought before me.By my side stood a waiter offloading more delicacy on my table and at the same time taking off all empty plates. This wasn't entirely my fault though. I've never tasted any dishes this good."Has she been starved for ages? she lacks proper etiquette which Diana possessed"I
"Catch that bitch!"I could feel my legs giving up as I raced down the street. Right behind me were four burly men chasing after me like always.I'm kinda used to it now. It all started after my parents disappeared mysteriously when they couldn't afford to pay the debts they owed over the last couple of months. With them gone, their numerous debtors were always on my tail demanding their money.I had the most irresponsible and weirdest parents in the whole world who gambled their lives away. Thanks to them, I already had quite the reputation in Florida. I'm always on the run. Always fighting men twice bigger and taller than me.My life revolves around money .I love luxury but sadly, I'm not sure I can acquire all that if these men kept on popping out of nowhere. My pants became Intense as I ran down the busy streets, I took a glance back and I couldn't spot any of the men chasing after me in sight. It seemed they finally gave upI slowed my pace until I came to a standstill with my eyes
