AIDEN —
Out of anger, I couldn't even wait to drive to the main car garage. I pressed the brake pedal abruptly, stopping the car in the middle of the compound, and alighted without even closing the door.
In a haste, I walked upstairs and headed straight to Layla's room. Nonetheless, upon getting there, I was taken aback to see her sleeping.
If truly the car belonged to Daniel and he had come here to meet Layla, shouldn't she still be awake by now?
"Or is she just pretending to be asleep?" I wondered, my gaze fixated on her as I tried to discern if she was truly sleeping or just trying to make a fool of me.
I stood still there for a while, pretending I had left just to see her reaction—to know if she'd wake up, but it didn't happen.
Then I concluded it's best I walk up to her and wake her up since she had refused to wake up.
No
AIDEN—She couldn't answer the question but immediately tried to decline the call. I had to snatch the phone away from her and then glanced at the screen to observe, only to see Daniel's name boldly written on the screen. However, the number wasn't saved. The name was suggested by a contact detection app."Daniel again?" I blurted out with a low voice, my gaze still on the phone. Discomfort all over my face."Did you call him after I gave the phone to you?" My brows raised as I asked the question. My eyes stared deeply into her eyes with scrutiny."Not at all. I didn't do anything like that," she responded, shaking her head in dismissal.I was silent for some while before finally shaking my head. "It's fine. Take the phone and block his number," I requested, passing the phone back to her.I could see her hiccup dance as she swallowed hard. She collected the phone without argument, knowing that if she wants to maintain this peace that's been between us, she has to do just as I say."I'
LAYLA—"You're pregnant?!" He repeated, his eyes looking bewildered, making me regret why I opened up to him about it."Yes, two weeks pregnant now," I responded, stuttering. I was scared to the core because I am actually not certain of who is responsible for the pregnancy since I met with Aiden and even Daniel the same week I conceived."It's okay. That's actually good news. That means we're expecting a baby soon." He forced out a smile, and I must say this relieved me a whole lot.For the fact he found out about my affairs with Daniel, I assumed he'd deny it and accuse him of being responsible for it, but I was surprised when he made the next phrase.I smiled blushingly and replied, "Yeah, I'm happy too. I can't wait to have her.""Her?" His face frowned as he stared at me disdainfully."I'm sorry," I stuttered regretfully, withdrawing back a little out of discomfort. I shouldn't have said this."You can go now," he snapped, his gaze fixated on his phone.Quietly, I pulled the doork

AIDEN —After reading that, I froze until the phone fell out of my hand and shattered on the floor, bringing me back to my senses."How?!" I screamed with agony.I managed to pull myself together and then went to the restroom to shower.About five minutes later, I was done showering, and I went back to the room to dress up.Hastily, I dressed up and stormed out of the room. I boarded a cab to the bar where I had left my car. However, when I alighted from the cab as we got to the bar and I scanned the environment in search of my car, I could not see it.I became totally confused. "Could it mean that I have lost my car?" A thought echoed in my mind as I saw the warning notice they had on their wall with the caption "Parking of cars at owner's risk.""What if Claire had stolen my car?" I wondered. I could vividly recall how she led me inside a car last night and then took over the driving, and since we were together, no one would suspect anything.Perhaps she had left with it the morning
AIDEN —I yawned as my phone beeped an alarm, signifying a new day.I grimaced, stretching on the bed, wishing for more sleep. I had slept late last night, so I struggled to wake up to the alarm.I rolled on the bed and then felt my hand on something soft. The sensation brought a strange sense of satisfaction until I realized it was breasts."Layla had the nerve to sleep with me on the same bed despite what she had done," I muttered, sighing. As I tried to move away from her, I felt an unusual comfort from the mattress. My face frowned as I tried to figure out where the feeling was coming from.At home, I only have an orthopedic mattress on my bed, so it doesn't provide the same comfort as this one.I sleep on an orthopedic mattress to enhance my bones and keep me physically fit. When I couldn't ignore it anymore, I opened my eyes to find myself in a strange room. The room was adorned with different artworks and paintings, unlike my room. I quickly sat up, the drowsiness fading instan
AIDEN —After the phone call with Maverick, I ordered more drinks, not even minding that it was getting dark already. Meanwhile, my vision was already blurry because of drunkenness. Under normal circumstances, I should not be outside at this time of day, but since going back home to meet Layla with alcohol-free eyes and mind is not what I want, I had to consume more liquor.A few minutes ticked by, the waitress brought the drinks, and I continued drinking.I was halfway through the drink when someone walked up to me out of nowhere and sat opposite me at my table.Although I was drunk, I could still detect that it was a woman from the way she was smiling at me and the other feminine energies she exudes."Hi, my name is Claire. I can see you're having a good time." She wouldn't stop smiling as she talked. At first, I never wanted to engage her, but she persisted in starting conversations."Nice to meet you, Claire," I remarked and went on to introduce myself: "I'm Aiden Black, the own
