The abduction.

She slowly opened her eyes, and it could only form a blurry image. Her head was still aching intensively from the hard hit to the head that she received earlier.

She still could not reconstruct in her head what had happened to her. She didn’t even know what time or day it was or how long ago it has been since she blacked out.

From the grave silence she noticed around, it seemed like there was no one else in the room, or should I say, the shack. It was a log cabin, and it looked old and abandoned.

Some parts of the floor had broken off. Even the wooden walls were missing some of their pieces. You could see the thin rays of the morning sunlight seeping through the cracks in the walls.

Aria could hear the sounds of birds chirping in the distance, to suggest that she was possibly in the woods.

The excess humidity, and petrichor mixed with the musky scent of trees in the air, further confirmed her suspicions that she was in the woods.

“How did I get here?” she wondered.
