Inside Noah's car, the gentle hum of the engine provided a soothing background for my turbulent emotions. Beside me, Jane's abandoned vehicle sat silent as evidence of her sudden departure at my urging. As we drove through the night with ease and skillfulness, I found unexpected comfort in his timely arrival.

With Jane and her looming presence left far behind us now, I summoned up enough courage to break our shared silence. "I can't bear to see her face anymore," I finally confessed candidly - prompting Noah to steer away from any lingering shadows that might remind us of this tumultuous encounter between former friends.

Our hands entwined, fingers locking in a silent promise of mutual relief. Overflowing with gratitude, I exclaimed "I knew you would come to my rescue." A bewildered expression crossed Noah's face as he sought reassurance: "Really?" My gaze held steadfast sincerity as I nodded and spoke softly, "You're always there for your siblings whenever they cause me p
