Chapter 6 – She's Mine!

Loretta has been enjoying her leave for days now. All she does is sleep, eat, and chat, and repeat the very same process over and over again. She sure was having fun getting to know herself better.

On Wednesday evening, she was in her living room watching a movie when she heard a knock at the door.

She quickly put on her flip-flop and went to see who it was, only to meet Kendrick standing at her doorstep.

“Hey,” he smiled sheepishly at her, more like an excited child.

“Hey you,” Loretta said out of shock. She didn’t remember giving him her address.

“How did you know where I live?” She asked.

“Well, at least at least come in first?” he asked calmly.

“Oh pardon my manners. Please come in,” she ushered him in.

“Please make yourself comfortable,” she said and vanished into the kitchen.

She got a glass and drink and placed it in front of him.

“How are you?” he asked.

“Fine. As you can see, I’m enjoying my break,” she smiled...

“That’s good”

“How did you know where I stay because I can’t remember giving you my address,” she asked.

He smiled and said, “I don’t need to ask you for it before I can but I’m sorry if you don’t like the surprise,” he said.

“Oh no, that’s not what I meant. I was just surprised that is all,” she smiled.

“Alright. I’m glad you’re enjoying your break.”

“Yes, I am.”

“But I miss the office tho.”

“I know right.”

“By the way, you have a lovely home,” he smiled.

“Thanks.”

“How was work today?”

“Work was fine. I left the house earlier than usual,” he said.

Why? She asked.

My schedule is quite free.

Okay.

Yeah.

“You look different on casual dress tho” she smirked.

You don’t like me this way?? He asked seductively.

“I never said that. As a matter of truth, I love you,” This ‘you’ is more handsome, friendly and, homie than the intimidating you everyone knows you with” she explained.

Alright...

“Don’t worry you’ll be seeing more of me like this” he smiled.

They both gist and talk about several things.

When it was 7 pm, he suggested they both go out and get some fresh air.

You’ve been indoor, can we at least just go out, have dinner and come back?? He asked.

Alright, that’s fine by me.

Alright, I’ll be waiting for you to dress up.

Okay...

She dashed into her bedroom and look for something comfy to wear. She finally arrived at jeans and a chiffon top.

They drove downtown, to a very Expensive and cool restaurant.

They made their orders and in no time they were served.

“So, tell me about this irreplaceable man in your life,” Kendrick asked.

He’s the man I grew up to love and loved unconditionally.

“Hmmm” Kendrick sigh.

"Yeah, no man can ever beat his love for me,” she said.

Are you sure about that? He asked.

“Yes, that I’m very sure of” she smiled.

“For how long have you been together?” He asked.

“For 28years” she smiled...

I don’t understand.

“Hold on, you mean your dad??” He asked.

Loretta smiled and sip her drinks.

Who were you thinking it was initially?? She asked.

All along I thought you were referring to a boyfriend.

“Lol, Okay I got you there” she laughed.

Yes, you did.

They both laughed.

“You must be very close with your dad.” He said.

Yes. I’m the only child so obviously, it had to be that way.

Hmmm, an only child.

Don’t you crave siblings sometimes? He asked.

I do but thank Goodness I have a friend, who is like an older and younger sibling to me.

Lucky you then” he smiled.

Yeah.

So you’re trying to say that you ain’t in any relationship?? He asked.

No.

Why? He asked.

“I haven’t found that special one yet,” she said

“Okay,” he said without asking further questions.

What about you?? She asked.

“I have found her but still haven’t told her how I feel about her,” he said.

Why or are you shy?? She asked.

No, I’m not. Just that she seems like a tough one.

Hmmm, I understand but if you don’t speak up how will you know if the feeling is mutual?? She asked

Uhmm that’s true tho.

Yeah.

They both ate and left the restaurant.

Kendrick drove her back home.

Hey, thank you for today.” You really made my day.” She smiled.

I’m glad you did” he touched her hands.

Kendrick couldn’t get enough of her. At that moment they were both seating in the car, all he wanted to do was to just pull her close and kiss her succulent calling lips.

“Uhmm hmm,” Loretta scoffed when the silence was becoming uncomfortable.

“I’ll go inside now.” She said.

Okay. He bent over and perked her cheek.

“Goodnight” he whispers in her ears.

Goodnight she stepped out of the car and entered inside.

*She’s mine and no one else can have her” He said to him.

When Loretta got inside she couldn’t help but blush. She felt somehow deep down.

She felt a sensation she hadn’t felt in a while. Damn, she wanted to just hold him down and kiss him and do all dirty things with him.

She snapped herself out of the dirty thoughts and shower before going to bed.

On Friday,

She was woken up by the buzzing of her phone and the caller was Roy.

“Hey, Good morning” she crumbled.

“Good morning sunshine,” he said.

How was your night?? she asked.

Fine, thank you. Yours?

Fine, thank you.

“Sorry for waking you up, I just wanted to be the first person to say good morning to you “ He apologized

“It’s fine,” She smiled.

Alright. What’s the plan for today?” He asked

Nothing much. Just be at home and doing nothing serious.

Okay. “Can you be my companion for tonight??”He asked.

What’s the occasion? She asked.

A friend of mine is celebrating his birthday and I would love you to go with me.

Okay. That’s fine.

Alright. Text me your address so that I’ll come to pick you up later.

Okay.

Call disconnected.

She texted him her address and went back to sleep since she has nothing to do.

By 12 o’clock in the afternoon, a package arrived at Loretta’s doorstep.

“Hello ma’am, you’re missing Loretta I presume?” The delivery man asked.

Yes. How may I help you?? She asked

You have a package.

Okay from whom?” She asked.

I guess you’ll find out when you open it” he smiled...

“Okay thank you,” she said and sign.

Immediately the delivery man left, she unwraps the bag and found a very beautiful dinner gown, a shoe, and a purse to go along.

She also found a note on it that says “ Look gorgeous tonight from Roy”

She smiled.

Later that evening...

She applied a little yet very eye-catching makeup and she looks extremely beautiful.

She wore the fitted long wine-colored dress that compliments her killer body. She was looking ravishingly and effortlessly beautiful.

At exactly 7 pm, Roy arrived at her place and immediately he saw her, he was short of words. He couldn’t utter a word because she was totally looking different from the girl he used to know.

“Holy jeez, you look so beautiful,” he said to her before opening the car for her to step in.

“Thank you” she replied shyly.

30minutes later, they arrived at the venue. From the settings, you should know the caliber of people the celebrant is.

Everyone who sited her couldn’t resist the urge to starring at her multiple times. She’s was looking extremely beautiful.

Roy and Loretta said hi to the celebrant. The celebrant was really happy Roy could make it because he’s always busy.

Roy on a normal day is a workaholic. He doesn’t have spare time. He’s always busy and traveling but one thing is constant in his life and that’s humility.

Roy is humble to the core. He’s a very loving person and if you’re opportune to have met him, you’ll definitely have something great to remember him for.

“I love the settings,” she said to Roy.

Yes I know right.

How close are you to the celebrant? Loretta asked

“80% close, but most times I really don’t have time to associate with them.

I know he wasn’t expecting me to be here today but I just had to surprise him” he explained to her.

Hmm, okay.

“Yeah, Come with me,” He whispered into her ear.

She followed him, enabling others to even stare more at her.

Hello gentlemen,” Roy said to the group of men who were so carried away with whatever they were discussing.

Hey, Roy” two of the men looked at him and they hugged and shook hands.

The other person who seems to be on phone finally finished making his call and just the moment he turned to face Roy, he appeared to Kendrick.
