Alarm buzzing...

Loretta rolled into her bed after turning off the alarm clock that had been ringing nonstop. She didn’t feel like going to work today.

She went back to sleep, but her phone began to ring in less than a minute.

She muttered something before putting the phone to her ear, oblivious to the caller’s identity.

She mumbled, “Hello.”

Lauren said, “Good morning, lore.”

She said, “Good morning, babe.”

“Are you sure you’re still in bed?” Lauren inquired.

“What’s up?” She inquired.

Lauren said, “Nothing much; just checking up on you.”

With her eyes open, Loretta responded, “OK, thank you.”

“Thank you very much.”

“Do you have nothing planned for today?” Lauren inquired.

“Yes, I do. Loretta responded, “I’ll be up in a minute.”

Lauren replied solemnly, “Please do, and don’t forget to at least give a guy your number today.”

Loretta didn’t say anything else after that.

“Can you hear what I’m saying?” Lauren inquired.

Loretta said, “Yes, I can hear you.”

“All right, then, have a wonderful day.”

Loretta answered, “Thanks, babe, and you as well.”

“Thanks. Lauren said, “I love you.”

Loretta smiled and hung up after saying, “I love you too.”

She got up and went to the bathroom to perform her daily ablutions as soon as she got off the phone.

Loretta’s closest friend is Lauren. They practically grew up together and do everything in the same way.

Loretta and the 29-year-old have been friends for almost 20 years and now consider themselves sisters.

Lauren is the lone female with two older brothers, while Loretta is the only child of her parents.

Loretta was surrounded by love and happiness as a child. Even though her parents were not wealthy, she never goes without.

It’s either ride or die for these two stunning young females. Loretta, on the other hand, is still single. Lauren is already in a serious relationship with Matt.

It’s not that men aren’t asking her out; it’s just that she hasn’t found what her heart desires.

For the time being, she’s only concerned with her job and her blog.

Loretta walked out to one of the gorgeous gardens in New York City on Saturday morning after freshening up, where she normally relaxes and works on her blog.

This has become an instinctive part of her weekend routine.

Loretta is one of her company’s Human Resource executives, and when she’s not at work, she blogs.

Even before she obtained a job, she had a penchant for blogging.

A dominant person entered the relaxation garden not long after.

This affluent and influential young man arrived in an unassuming manner. Despite the simplicity of his attire, you could sense his presence.

Kendrick Robert, a tall, dark, attractive, and powerful young man, sat down and began using his phone.

That tranquility garden is just for the wealthy. Because of their excellent service and bills, someone who has little or earns little cannot be there.

From the moment he walked in, the waitresses were swooning over each other.

One of the waitresses commented, “That gentleman is very cute.”

The other waitress agreed, saying, “Yeah, really cute.”

The third waitress left them to take his orders while the other two were still thinking about him.

“Good morning, sir,” she said courteously.

“Good morning,” he said, his gaze shifting from his phone to the waitress in front of him.

He took the menu book and placed his order, fully understanding why the waitress was standing.

He answered, “Hennessy is fine.”

She grinned and walked away, saying, “All right, sir.”

Loretta, on the other hand, was so preoccupied with her laptop that she failed to notice the presence of someone who had the waitresses speechless.

Loretta prefers to sit in a secluded place away from the rest of the room.

In a flash, the waitress returned with his drink, which he proceeded to sip.

KR Enterprise’s CEO is Kendrick. He is the first of two children. He comes from an affluent family, but he never relies on his family’s fortune. He put in a lot of effort to establish the name he has now.

Loretta’s phone began to ring while she was still working.

She took the call, which lasted a few minutes.

Kendrick became aware that someone was seated in the corner at this time.

He couldn’t see the person who was on the call, but the voice he heard was soothing enough to the soul that he really wanted to see her.

Kendrick headed to the corner where she was seated, carrying his cup of drink and scrolling through his phone for nothing in particular. He did it merely to see the person behind that pleasant voice. He was really intrigued and curious to know so much.

Loretta instinctively looked his way as he went by, and they made eye contact.

Loretta was perplexed as to why she was staring at this young man with whom she had just established eye contact.

His phone started ringing just as he was ready to move closer to her, and it seemed like it was an emergency, so he left without saying anything to her.

Loretta finds herself smiling for no apparent reason as she watches him fade from her sight.

She returned to work until it was time to depart.

AFTER TWO WEEKS...

*Loretta was on the phone with her mother*

“Mum, good morning.”

“Good morning, my sweetheart. “How are you doing?” Mrs. Wayne enquired after her daughter.

“I’m a great mother. How do you feel?” Loretta had inquired.

Mrs. Wayne smiled and responded, “I’m OK, my dear.”

“Okay. Loretta remarked, “I spoke with dad yesterday, and he said he’ll be back in a few days.”

“Yes, I’ve missed my husband,” Mrs. Wayne expressed her longing for her husband.

Loretta rolled her eyes and said, “Mum.”

“You aren’t aware of this sensation because you have chosen not to take your life seriously.”

“Tell me, Loretta... When do you plan to take your life seriously?” Mrs. Wayne had inquired.

“Please, Mum, don’t do this now,” she argued, “It’s too early,” since she knows her mother all too well.

“I’m not going to stop until you do the right thing. My child, you’re not getting any younger.”

“All right, mum. I’m aware of what you’re saying. “I’ll reveal him to you soon,” Loretta stated solemnly.

“Are you sure you want this anytime now?” Mrs. Wayne had inquired.

“Yes, mum,” She replied.

“Alright, sweetie,” Mrs. Wayne said, “If you do that, I’ll be the happiest mother on the face of the earth.”

“Alright, mum.”

“All good, my sweetheart; please, remember to look after yourself.”

“All right, mum.”

“Bye for now.”

*Call disconnected*

She thought to herself, “Now I’m in deep shit.”

*The day after...*

The board room is gradually filling with the company’s senior executives who were to be there for the meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. She initially assumed they would have to wait for the other party to arrive, but to her astonishment, his arrival was announced at precisely 10 a.m.

She had already returned to the office to retrieve some documents and had to hurry back because he had already arrived.

As soon as she pulled the door open, her gaze was drawn to someone she hadn’t expected.

Mrs. Wayne is a wonderful mother and a lovely wife.

She embodies the words ‘beauty' and ‘calmness,’ but she has recently been on her daughter’s trail to bring her partner home.

Loretta has now given her false hopes, and she already knows there is no way out for her unless she finds that man.

She sat on her bed, pondering what she should do next, given that she had already gotten herself into a tremendous problem.

After giving it some thought, she decided to offer her heart to anybody who came her way from now on.

After all, it’s not like she hasn’t been asked out; she just hasn’t given anyone a second consideration. She appears to have no choice right now.

Everyone at Shizells Group of Companies was up and about on Monday morning.

Every Monday is one of Loretta’s least favorite days since she is exhausted from a variety of duties, ranging from many hours of meetings to processing incoming and outgoing mail that has accumulated over the weekend, documentation of new personnel, and new contracts.

All of this must be accomplished, and Loretta frequently forgets to have lunch.

The organization has been working on this proposal for quite some time, and she couldn’t wait for it to be approved so she may finally get some fresh air.

This is a significant contract for the corporation, and all hands are on deck.

Tomorrow is the final board meeting, and the CEO of the company with which they’ve partnered will be in attendance.

He’s rumored to be a powerful, affluent, and strict young man. He doesn’t play around with his business, and many people who have met him describe him as an Alpha.

Loretta was eager to see this alleged Alpha and confirm her suspicions after hearing so much about him from others.
