"No way?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

She responded with her eyes with a hint of panic, "What I meant was, you can't marry that man. I already told you he's married, and he has a child."

"I know. He was honest with me about it," I replied nonchalantly.

"And you still agreed to be with him?" she asked, clearly in disbelief.

I chuckled at her reaction. "Come on, I'm not a fool. He's divorced now."

"But are you okay with the fact that he already has a child with someone else?"

I looked down for a moment before meeting her gaze. "That doesn't bother me. I'd rather have that situation than being forced by Dad to be with one of his friends. I couldn't stand that, seriously. So, I'm grateful that you came into the picture and Dad stopped pushing me towards his friend. It's a relief you're here." I offered her a genuine smile.

She frowned, but as soon as she saw me watching her, she forced a smile again. "I'm glad I could be of help, sister."
