Chapter Forty Eight

Tristan played with his food as he thought about the dreams he’d had for two consecutive nights now. First it was the church funeral and the second one was a church wedding.

The very same church in his first dream which meant that the second one would come before the first or whatever. He let out a deep sigh which caused his parents to look at him.

“You okay son?”. Cesar asked. "You’ve barely touched your food.”

“You don’t like the food baby? I can ask one of the maids to get you something else.” Ellie said. "You just say the word.”

Tristan shook his head and dropped his fork. He knew the food was delicious but he had no appetite. He couldn't stop thinking about his dreams no matter how he tried and he didn't want to worry his parents.

“The food is really delicioso Tristan". Miesa beamed at him. "You’re missing out. You rock Aisha!”.

Their parents laughed but Tristan didn’t crack even a smile. Aisha had cooked fried rice for breakfast which she said was a favorite in her country,
