Chapter Forty Three

A week later

“It is done Cesar.” His Lawyer informed him with a smile as he handed Cesar the paperwork from the court.

Cesar grabbed it from him and almost cried when he saw the judge’s signature and the court stamp. There was also Tristan’s original birth certificate which had his name and Chiara’s on it.

He’d been praying for this day to come and it was finally here. Tristan belonged to him and now they could finally go back home. He didn't think he'd miss being away from home this much but he guessed it was because he had people to go back home to now.

“I’d hug you but it would be weird.” Cesar said. "Thank you very much for this man.” He held out his hand.

“Oh it’s nothing. I’m glad I could help a friend". Ron said. "Besides I owe you.”

“Want a drink?”. Cesar asked.

“Sure.” Ron nodded.

Cesar led him to his home office, told him to sit then went to the bar to pour them both a drink.
