"Do I really need to do all that? If you need some assistance I can just call for a staff and-”

I pressed my fingers to his lips, cutting him off. "There's no fun if the staff will do it for you. Let's just do this for today and I promise to go out with you tomorrow night if you have some free time.”

“Anywhere I want?” Jaxson asked with a smirk.

"Anywhere you want."

"But what about my image? What if the guests who attend know me and they see me serving meals to people and fixin the decorations? My career will be in shambles.”

“It's good publicity.” I just said before pulling Jaxson towards the venue again. I spent more time trying to please him than organizing the event. "It will be a great day, I promise."

"It will be." He uttered. "But only if you give me a kiss each balloon I hang."

I sniggered, half suppressing. “You are such a cringe-worthy person. I hope you know that.”

When we finally arrived at the small garden where the event will be held later, I saw that Loren was starting to arrange flowers on the stage while Mr. Sol is talking to Sister Cherry who is another manager of this orphanage along with Sister Cordilla.

I removed my hand from Jaxson's grip and then I picked up a flower and brought it to the stage.

"What's going on with you and Manager Sol?" I whispered to Loren with a teasing smile.

Her eyes shifted to me, rolling upwards. "We're here to help the kids, Sister Cordilla, and Sister Cherry. That's all." She uttered defensively.

"But why is it that whatever you two say doesn't convince me? I've never seen you with our manager. And to think that you two became close and even going out together? Somethings going on…” I said softly as Manager Sol and Sister Cherry passed by in the back while we were setting up the stage.

"We only passed through here so that after that I will also go straight to DeepBlue for my duty. Manager Sol said he also wanted to see this orphanage, because I told him while we were at the event that you and I used to volunteer here." He explained to me emphatically. "I know for sure that he won't come with me if I hadn't brought up your name. Manager Sol is interested in you, Catt and not me. So whatever is going through your mind right now, you are wrong.

I was taken back by what she said.

"I am married, Loren. See?' I raised my hand to show him my ring finger. "So please stop bringing it up that Manager Sol has feelings for me and let's just continue living like we use to be. I can be friends with Manager Sol, but you know I have a husband now.”

Loren nodded to me as her eyes became soft as she gaped at me. “Right. My best friend whom everyone thought would soon be a nanny is now a married woman. I keep forgetting that because you never even introduced me to your boyfriend before he became your husband. But, let me tell you something. The jealousy flashing in his eyes every time you laugh with Manager Sol, I've seen it. Seems like you are already loved by the person you also love.” Loren smiled at me heartily. "I will try to get to know him more today as well."

"Thank you, Loren. Thank you for being such a good friend.” I put down the flowers I was holding and then hugged her tightly. I felt her hand caressing my back.

"I'll always be here," She muttered.

We quickly broke away from the hug when suddenly Sister Cherry screamed.

When we looked back at what happened, it turned out that Manager Sol was thrown juice by the girl Ellene who was carrying it.

"Oh, no. Mister! I am very sorry!” He almost cried while trying to wipe Manager Sol's clothes.

Loren and I also approached them to hand out disposable wipes because the red juice had spread on Manager Sol's white long sleeve shirt.

I handed him my handkerchief which he immediately accepted. I smiled at Loren when I noticed that he also reached for his handkerchief to say that it was okay.

"Thanks, Kitcat." Manager Sol muttered in a low voice as his eyes locked into mine.

"I am really sorry, Mister. I did NOT mean for that to happen. I was just-”

"No, it's okay." Manager Sol said to the girl Ellene. "Situations like this always happen to me in the nightclub that I work in." He caught a glimpse of me when he said those words.

I chuckled when I understood what he meant. Because I often bump into him at the nightclub whenever I have a drink with me. I even remembered that Manager Sol was bringing an extra shirt to be ready because that often happens.

"You can continue what you are doing now, kid." Manager Sol assured Ellene as he tapped her shoulders. "I'll take care of the mess."

He gave her as smile and Ellene in return just bobbed her head and started stepping away from us.

"Oh, well, I will entrust the event to you and I will go to the lobby to keep watch. And also, Mr. Richard Sol, we really appreciate your kind contribution to the orphanage.” Sister Cherry said calmly, to which we nodded at the same time.

When it left, I was shocked when Manager Sol suddenly took off his top, revealing his half naked body right in front of my eyes. When my soul returned to my body I quickly turned around and looked away.

I was met by Jaxson's eyes, peering at me. He looks as if roasting me inside his mind.

I quickly walked towards him to join him because Jaxson might still be shy and uncomfortable in the place. I was the one who took him with him so he's under my responsibility.

"Hey," I called him as I was approaching him. "There is a lot that needs to be taken care of for tonight. Wherever you want to start, I will be there to accompany you. So, where do you wanna start? The stage, chairs, tables-” My jaw dropped when Jaxson suddenly took the buttons of his shirt off. "What the hell are you doing? Put that back in the buttonhole. Are you crazy?”

"I'm starting off by taking my shirt off."

I can't help but to laugh at Jaxson's face.

"You are so cute." I said lightly as I raised my hands to his shirt and buttoned it up for him. "You don't have to do things like this."

"Why? Seems like my wife is loving views like this based on what I saw earlier. I can't let her eyes be taken away from me this easily. Plus, my body is ten times better than that man.”

I giggled because of how cute he is acting again. When Jaxson's lips form into a pout I really can't stop my self to see him as an adorable person and not that independent grown man who is already preparing to take over their company.

"You don't have to take your shirt off just to get my attention." I gently tapped his shirt as I finished buttoning it. "How about let's start by fixing the table?"

“How can you be so sure? What if they won’t give you a call? What if… Uh… There would be an emergency and they can’t contact you?” I insisted on the question once again. Jaxson can’t stay here all day, because if that happens, then I have to stay all day in this bed too. He will eventually find out that I can’t walk. “— Also, you won’t stay here with me all day even if you don’t go to your office. I have a call from Miranda agency that we have costume fitting today.” It’s not entirely a lie because the agency called me early in the morning that I have to be there with Daniella.I am planning to go regardless of what she can do to me. And what I am thinking of, is to sneak out this house with the help of Richard. Besides, he won’t suspect that Daniella did it to me because it seems to be an accident when I fall off my shoes. It’s only me and her who knows exactly who did it to injure me. I can’t help but to worry about Lance’s and Daniella’s plan for Jaxson and I. They are harming

I struggled to get my body moving and hit the button on the bedside table."Good evening, Aunt Elsie? Are you there?" I politely called the other line and then waited for him to respond. It's excellent that Jaxson has been using advanced technology throughout this bedroom. Since it is so distant from our room, I wouldn't have been able to call Aunt Elsie if I wasn't strong enough to go down to the kitchen."Hello, Mrs. Madrigal. My mother isn't here, do you need anything?""Angel?" I asked with my brows colliding. "Why isn't Aunt Elsie there? Did she go somewhere?" I became worried because this is the first time that she is not the one who answered my call."Well, technically she's not here. But she's also not outside the house. I think she's taking care of Mr. Madrigal that just came home, ma'am. Would you like me to call her?" He calmly answered with his soft and airy voice."No, no, it's okay..."If you need anything Mrs. Madrigal, I can bring it to you right away."I nodded quietl

"You're giving me tickles, stop." he chuckles as he continuously leaned away from me.I giggled as I continued to tease him. "You're such a ticklish baby.""I am not." he tried to straighten his face and stop laughing but he couldn't stop it.When I got tired, I leaned on his chest again and then fiddled with the button of his polo shirt."When are we going back to New Jersey?" I asked. It's like... I don't want to go back and face his life. I just want to stay here next to Liam and hug him all night, make him laugh, and talk to him."We're not going back unless you ask me to." he uttered.I moved a little away from his chest to look him in the eyes. "Really?"His hand came up to the top of my head and ruffled my hair. "Really."I took a breath. "If it's possible, I'll claim you and never give you back."He laughed softly and then turned his attention back to the laptop in front of him when he received an email.I brought my lips to his ear again, but this time, to whisper."Liam is g

"I missed the breeze here..." Maddison muttered as Blade pushed his wheel chair towards the shore of the sea. "I avoid even thinking about this place because of painful memories." he smiled bitterly. When they got there, Blade stopped pushing and then he sat next to its wheel."Me, I'm always here to calm my mind. It's often on top of the rocks so I can see the entirety of the surroundings.
