Chapter 105.

(Kim's Point of View)

There were several reasons why I needed to visit Mrs. Evans in her cell after two days in jail, but when I arrived at the station, I realized Arthur and I weren't the only ones there; Seb and Evy were also there.

"Kim!" Evy exclaimed as she rushed over to me and wrapped her arms around me in a hug, which I reciprocated.

It was pleasant.

I grinned at her when we separated. "How have you been?" I inquired.

She grinned even wider. "Good since our last meeting. You are here for Mrs. Evans too?" She grilled, and I nodded. "We, too, Seb, wanted to talk to his mother one last time."

I cast a glance behind her, where Arthur and Seb were conversing. I noticed Seb didn't have his usual gleeful glint in his eyes. "He's deeply affected," I remarked, returning my gaze to Evy and watching her nod.

"He feels guilty about not finding it out sooner."

No one would suspect their mother of being a bitch, so I wouldn't hold it against him if he didn't notice.
