(Kim's Point of View)

I stood outside the Manison, watching as a car pulled in through the gate and parked in front of me before the passenger door opened and Eloise ran out.

"Kim!" She yelled with delight and sprang into my arms. I laughed as I rubbed her back.

"Did you think about me?"

She drew back from the hug and nodded excitedly. "You have no clue how much I miss you, big sister, and now we're going to see each other every day!" She jumped gleefully on her feet, but my smile faded when the driver's door opened and my mother came out. I restrained myself from puffing at the sight of her.

I had last seen her and my dad at the wedding, and since then I had been the ostracized and superfluous daughter.
