NICHOLE'S POV

Adrian was so determined that he even offered to watch me fall asleep before he went to his room.

Yes, he was that persistent.

I don't know why, but I felt relieved that he did that.

After taking my bath and putting on the pyjamas he had made available, I lay down to sleep.

Adrian sat on the small couch in the room that was just big enough for one person.

As I lay down, I opened my eyes several times. Sometimes I gazed at him, and at other times, it seemed like he was struggling with something..

Maybe a feeling or a thought wasn't quite sure of what it was.

Besides, I don't have superpowers that could make me pry into his mind to know what exactly was disturbing him, but I could tell he was being disturbed by something.

"Are you okay?" I asked

"Uhm, yeah I am fine?" He replied.

"You don't look fine, you need to go rest, we've all had a hectic day."

"You need me to go rest? Then you've got to rest first."

'So adamant' I said in my head.
