-Eve-

The Psychiatric office of my doctor was nothing like the one I had in my dream. And because my dream was still fresh, I asked Vincent to stay out by the door, just in case.

The room was more in calming colors of neutrals and no sunflowers.

My doctor was not behind a big desk with the computer but the couch she asked me to sit on was definitely more comfortable than the one in my dream.

“Hello, Evelyn,” my doctor greeted. She looks like she was a bit older than I was but gives me the feel that we are just the same age.

“Hello,” I replied.

“So, how are you?” She asked.

“I feel better.”

“Is there something that you would like to share or do you have any questions?”

“Honestly, I am not sure why I am here. They just told me that I needed to visit you before I was allowed to go home. But technically, I am all healed up.” She listens to my every word and writes down on the clipboard in front of her. I am not sure if she was writing everything that I say word per word or not.

  • The Billionaire's Secret   Chapter 124 - It worked

-Eve-The news of my death spread like wildfire because of the live broadcast. And just like that, Nana and I are already dead. News reporters tried to cram the chapel that held our Urns with our ashes. But there were guards everywhere to make sure that the place was secured and no one would dare enter the chapel without permission. They were also placed there to ensure that they would not disturb the schedule of the main church. The reporter Vincent and I met at his grandmother’s event were the only ones allowed inside. I have to admit that the way our urns were displayed looked so beautiful. The urns sat on their own pedestals, surrounded by mountains of flowers. The details that were used would really let everyone who sees it know how much Vincent loved me. He sat on the couch beside the platform where the urns were. Vincent’s grandmother was beside him to greet everyone who wanted to share their condolences since Vincent was not in his usual self, because how could he be, when

  • The Billionaire's Secret   Chapter 123 - Code Blue

-Eve-Phase two of our plan finally began. Nana and I watched as it was broadcast live on television. I watched as Vincent rushed to where I was supposed to be staying, all bandaged up because of the burns I had received after the bombing. He intentionally went to my room with the wireless mic on, saying everything that a panicked boyfriend should be saying. The broadcast showed the reporter chasing after Vincent but was stopped by the hospital guards the moment that they entered the VIP floor. The VIP floor had its own guards, and from my understanding, all of them are ex-marines. They and no tricks would be able to get passed by them. The view was showing the VIP guards as they blocked the only entrance that the public knew. Of course, there was another passage, but only those with a high position know that. We could hear Vincent’s panicked voice over the screen, but the view isn’t changing. “What happened?” Vincent demanded. The anger and fear in his voice were evident. “We

-Vincent-I haven’t heard from Evelyn since she left, but Tony has been continuously updating me about her location through the tracker. I feel a bit at ease. “Is everything set?” I asked the doctor who took care of Evelyn and her grandmother. “Yes, Mr. Beckett,” he replied, “I have already spoken to our staff and they all know what to do.” “Are you sure that none of them would give us a hard time?” “Yes, sir, none of them would,” the doctor replied, “All of them were handpicked by your grandmother, and they even signed a non-disclosure agreement to make sure that all our VIPs are assured that none of what happens would be exposed to anyone.” One of the reasons why our hospital is well known is because of the way our VIP protects their guests. But this is Samantha, she is not like any ordinary person. She will try everything just to get whatever it was that she wants. “Where should we begin?” I asked. Even though a part of me already has an idea of what our next move would be.

  • The Billionaire's Secret   Chapter 121 - Timeline

-Eve-Vincent didn’t call or text me, just like we had discussed. I also know that he would be busy at this time because he would now begin the second phase of our plan. I know that they are now preparing to announce my and Nana’s deaths. “Vincent seems to be a nice guy,” Nana said, out of the blue, as we continued our journey to her parents’ hometown.“He is a nice guy, Nana,” I replied. “Oh, I know,” she said, smiling. “I just want you to admit it.”I sigh, realizing what Nana was doing.“Nana, your safety is my priority.” I know I have explained everything to her already. Five times, to be exact. Each time, she told me that she understood everything very clearly, and yet every time that she gets the opportunity to remind me what a great guy Vincent was, she takes it. I love Vincent, I don’t doubt what I feel because whatever it was that I feel is real. There is nothing fake about what Vincent and I had, despite starting as a fake couple. And with the time that we both spent to

  • The Billionaire's Secret   Chapter 120 - Plan

-Vincent-Evelyn left while I was asleep. I was so tired the day before that I slept heavily. I hate not knowing where she went or who she was with, because it felt like she was running away from me. I know that we have discussed this part and her reasons why she didn’t want anybody else to know where Nana would stay. Ever since the bombing, a part of me has felt that Evelyn has changed. She might not say it out loud, but I could feel it. She might be smiling at me, but I have this scary feeling that there is something going on behind the smile and reassurance that she always gives me. It feels like something is brewing, and I am so scared to know what type of storm will arrive. I just hope that when it does arrive, I am ready for it. I know I promised her that I would not ask her anymore, but I didn’t promise that I wouldn’t look. She is my priority, the most important person in my life. She is even more important than my grandmother right now. “Did you find her?” I asked Tony

  • The Billionaire's Secret   Chapter 119 - Decision

-Eve-I know that I couldn’t do what I have planned on my own. I may have some money, but I am not that rich yet. I don’t have the right connections to make sure that no one would be able to see us, let alone recognize who the hell we are. And the only person I know who has both the money and power, other than Brie, is Alyana. After the conversation that I had with my grandmother, we were able to agree on a place where no one would be able to recognize us. It was a place that was so far from the city with almost no internet. A place where your next neighbor might have to be as far as a five-minute drive from your car. It could be the most dangerous place a person could be at (well, at least based on the movies I usually see), but it could also be the safest since it was pretty isolated and no one we know would be able to think that we would move to such a place. It was also a good thing that Nana decided not to sell the place. It was a gift from her mother when she got married bef
