“B!” Shouted Jack from the front door. Not even in yet, he was still on the trail stones of the yard leading from the gate to the front porch.

“B! Where are you, Babe!?” He teased her. He knew well she doesn’t like it when he calls her that way. But he was feeling so enthusiastic that he wanted to annoy her. But he also knows that her patience isn’t fragile like a porcelain doll. Patience is one of her mastered skills. Her meditation for patience which was practiced ever since she regained herself from sadness about her parent's death, had saved her in many crucial circumstances. It had made her able to even keep her breath for as long as five minutes and a few ten seconds more. This ability once saved her life during a mission to assassinate a human trafficker for human organ harvesting to sell on the black market, which was hiding on an island. Of course, she went there and arrived at the place with full diving gear as she sneaked to hitchhike on a fisherman’s boat one night after thoroughly planning her way in and out of the island unnoticed. She let go of her hold on the boat when she estimated an almost fifty meters distance of deep seawater from her target’s position. She successfully got in and finished the job, but she did not know the security alarm of the whole hideout was more advanced than she had ever expected. As if situations like what she brought there were anticipated by the person who hides in there, that on her way out thinking she was done, made her realize she was wrong because the place started blowing part by part within the whole island. Alarming everyone that they had been invaded. She had to run to the dock and jump into the water as the guy’s security team, which was more or less twenty in number with heavily loaded firearms, started firing bullets at her from all sides and corners in the dark. She was wearing night goggles, but with how fast everything was happening, she did not have the liberty to look around and see anything. She had to get out of here alive. This is not how her life is going to end. The bullets seemed to be pouring out like heavy rain that she cannot figure out how to skip and avoid them other than going deeper into the water without coming out of it for a breather. It was dark, and so it was difficult for them to find her as she hid under the wooden pillars of the dock, the exact same spot where she jumped. They must have thought she would swim around, and so they fired around the spot with due care not to hit the pillars or else the dock would fall down. The exact idea Brianna anticipated, so she hugged the closest pillar she was into and slowly went deeper. Down to the bottom ground of the spot. She knows exactly what happens when a person holds their breath underwater in panic. It won’t do good to the human body. After the first two minutes, she will have to slowly release her breath to exhale the carbon dioxide from her body. Otherwise, it will build up and reduce the amount of oxygenated blood traveling to the brain resulting in lightheadedness. Next to it is fainting. That is when her patience becomes very useful. In such a crucial situation, a rash move will cause severe fatality. She will have to use patience and calm herself to make her think accordingly and get out of the ugly situation alive. The armed men had to reload after a minute or two. While reloading, they observed the water movements from every direction to see where she must have swum towards to, just to get tricked by random creatures who must have been bothered by the bombs blown and guns fired towards the sea, their home. She slowly and careful not to make the water raffle as she came out of the water with only her nose for a good breath and positioned herself securely under one of the boats on the dock with her body embracing the bottom and her head and feet on each side of the boat to make her able to breath when she needs to while the boat was still at the stop. Because once it starts to move, she can grab a hold using rubber adhesive gloves as she clings to its side, she will kick her leg apart from her hold before they arrive at the next dock, they won’t know or even notice her with the sound of motors of the engine while on the move. It was tough, she could have slipped from her hold, and the propeller would have cut her to pieces, and so she had to stay calm, focused, and not panic the whole twenty minutes boat ride distance. They were also in a hurry because the authorities would no doubt come if the sounds of the few bombs blown had reached their attention. They don’t want to be there and get caught when the police come, so they turn their boat to the maximum speed. The time lessened, but the water pressure was more chaotic for Brianna. It must have been her luck that she got out of there alive. She received her payment the next day where her target's death was confirmed via news on national television.

“Bry!......” He checked the kitchen, the living room, and the backyard, where she has a small flower garden. She wasn’t into flowers, but she wanted to keep her mom’s legacy in gardening. It’s as if she is just here whenever Brianna patiently speaks to her plants as she waters and nurtures them. But she wasn’t there either.

“Brianne!” Still no answer. “Babe?!” He purposely annoys her since she isn’t answering.

She was aware that he was coming towards where he thinks she is, so there is no need to answer. Making him call all her nicknames to call her in full finally. “Brianna Peters!!!!” He screamed as soon as he saw her poised, sitting in her meditating yoga posture. He wasn’t upset as for the reason he screamed. He was actually excited.

“What in the world is making you all so worked up this time?” B calmly asked as he arrived at her yoga room door, catching his breath from a run for the life he seemed to just did.

“Let me catch my breath first,” She wasn’t rushing him, but he felt himself rushing to tell her what he was going to say.

“Take your time.” Still as calm as she was earlier, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes again.

Jack bent his upper half body down with both his hands on just above his knee caps, a way he felt would quicken his breathing recovery, and it did.

“I submitted your application as Personal Assistant and Executive secretary for LM Realtors Group CEO.” Jack casually stated, he tried his best just now to make himself sound the way he did. Calm, nonchalant, and unaffected. As if what he just said was as casual as talking about the weather, very indifferent while eyeing B’s reaction towards his news.

Five years later. “Babe, don’t tire yourself so much,” Lucien reminded Brianna lovingly. “How is our little Anna doing today?” he asked with his warm hands rubbing on Brianna’s six months pregnant belly. “I am not really sure. But I have no doubts she is too eager to see the outside world. She has been kicking my ribs inside as if trying to push her way out even before her due!” Brianna blew a breath as she answered. Lucien laughed happily at the cute face of his lovely wife who somehow looked complaining. “Babe, I noticed that your mood swings during this pregnancy and the first one, with Caleb, are so different. Could it be because their genders are also different? With Caleb, you were as tough as usual, but with our little girl, Abigail, you are so… Uhmmm, so…. How do I say this?” Lucien scratched his head as if searching for the exact but safe word to say not to provoke his pregnant wife. “Come on, tell me. I am so what, huh?” Brianna asked with a sweet smile. Her face looked

“And in respect to Anna’s parents, I wish to move their graves into a mausoleum only for the Peters; the parents and grandparents. And as soon as we’ve done so, we will hold a ceremony to honor them,” Leandro declared. “What do you say about these thoughts of mine, Anna? I really hope I do not offend you in any way, because with all my heart, I swear, I only have the purest desire to express my gratitude that they brought you into this world and now you become a part of our family, that also makes your family ours, just like our family is also yours.”Silence filled the whole room. The question was directed to Brianna, so their eyes all turned to look at her as they waited to hear what she would say in response to Leandro’s words that were said with heartfelt sincerity. Brianna was silent not because she was feeling so emotional. Brianna was inwardly checking her heart and thoughts as well as her intuitive response, in silence. Guarding her mind against any misunderstanding or miscal

Brianna and Lucien arrived earlier than Sandra and Levi. It was because Sandra wanted to buy something for Anna, Sandra’s soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and also something for her father-in-law, Leandro Michaelson. There was nothing to worry bout since the war had already subsided and there were more than enough men to assist the couple with security or anything they would ever need. Enzo welcomed the young couple, Brianna and Lucien, as soon as they arrived at the mansion. Leandro sent the helicopter to fetch Enzo right after Leandro and Andy were dropped off at his yard. Lucien did not say anything, but Enzo understood the curious look on his young Master’s face as to why it was not the same as usual. Leandro would always wait for Lucien and Brianna by the door whenever the patriarch knew of their arrival. “The Master has a guest. They are in the study room and he is asking for your presence as well,” Enzo answered as he led the couple to where Leandro, Andy, and their guest were at

While the rest of the world was in tumult, the men on the Michaelsons' private army along with Brianna’s team subdued the whole barracks and gather every useful piece of evidence to solidify the cases against Terrence Clayton. The Michaelsons team found out there were more grave reasons why the ex-Vice President wanted the whole place burned down. “Sir, there seemed to be a lot of hidden bundles of money on one of the installed container vaults covered in military cloth to make it appear and look like it was only one of the stocks containers,” Captain Lexus Bordeaux reported when they started to search the whole property for anything they could find useful. “There is no way one can create a legal document to explain such a large sum of money, so Clayton must have kept them there,” Andy scoffed. “And there wouldn’t have been any way his under-the-table deals would pay him other than by cash,” Leandro also scorned. “Do not touch anything, just take photos and secure the surroundings

Blake assigned Finn and Hoggins to cover him by looking at their surroundings as his watchmen while he focused his attention on the target he was after according to the order given for him to execute. Blake had to look up most of the time to locate the shooter so he was relieved two of his comrades who already knew the drills and what they were supposed to do in this situation were with him to rely on. “Boss, these men are wearing a different uniform from ours. I believe they are not on the same side with us. What do I do?” Blake reported in a whispering tone as soon as he got the assurance that his information was accurate. “Take them down. Alive if possible, injured or not. But don’t hesitate to shoot if they try to resist and fight back!” Brianna answered. “Yes, Boss!” Blake answered. He gave Ramil Finn and Andrew Hoggins a signal on what to do and they acted accordingly. Hoggins took the east and south directions to secure. Finn took the other two directions while Blake Gordon

“Don Leon, the barracks in the forest is about to be abolished. Whether there are people in it or none, the order was made, and Terrence Clayton’s minions are on the move as we speak. If you have your men in there, tell them to pull out. Especially if your grandson and his wife are there, I strongly suggest you inform them of this message immediately!” The caller was using a voice synthesizer, so it was unrecognizable if the caller was a man or a woman. “Let me know who you are, whether what you say is the truth or just a prank; I want to thank you for this length of effort to notify me; let me return the favor one day,” Leandro wisely replied. “I will come to find you in person one day, then you will know who you are, and I will personally ask for your help. But for now, we don’t have time. Tell your men to pull out!” That was all they heard before the line was cut. “Tatum Eliott, leave the area right away. I repeat, leave the area right now! A tip just came in; that place is
