Chapter 7 – S-ex or Chocolate?

Chapter 7 – S-ex or Chocolate?

Kiara’s POV

I looked away first before my classmates notice something. He stood in front and placed his laptop on the table and looked at us, leaning back his pelvis at the edge of the desk, looking at us all with his arms folder on his chest.

“Since it is the last day, I won’t be discussing anything to you guys anymore. But you are free to ask me any questions for an hour until our time ends.” Sir Phoenix said and my classmates looked at each other. Yeah, I know what they are thinking. They are going to ask him questions that are not related with our lectures

“Any question, sir?” Jam asked with silly smile on his face.

Phoenix tilted his head and frowned, hesitating like he does not get the question as to why Jam asked it.

“Yeah?” Phoenix replied and our classmates sounded their ‘oohs’ again.

“Wait, wait! I’ll go first, I’ll go first.” Pane said raising both his hands to the front as if stopping our other classmates. We looked at him waiting for his question.

“Sir…” he paused as if making a suspense effect, making us all silent.

“S-ex or chocolate?” Pane uttered and we literally had our jaw dropped.

We glanced at Sir Phoenix and his lips were slightly parted and we could clearly see how his tongue grazed the edge of his upper teeth.

“That’s inappropriate.”

“Oh come on, sir. It’s our last day. And you said that ‘any question’” Pane said and the other males supported him too.

Argh, boys.

“You’re a man, you probably know the answer to that.”

Cheers from the men erupted in class and the ladies remained silent on their seats.

“Sir, how does it feel to be young and rich? Famous and be one of the sought bachelor in the country?” Keena asked, our class representative.

“Why do y’all asking me personal questions.” Sir Phoenix shook his head yet he still answered Keena’s questions.

“It’s not all fun and happy, enjoying the luxury, living to the fullest, splurging money, like maybe most of the people think… It’s not like that. It is busy, stressful, and we gotta be all responsible since you know, in business, especially if you have people working under you, it is not just the money, assets, or shares and products that you are protecting and valuing but also the lives of your employees and customers. If the business fails, where would your employees get another job? Where would they get money to feed their family? Where would your customers turn if your product is no longer available? Especially if let’s say your business products were essential daily needs, it would be a mess isn’t it? if the head of the business is all fun and games?”

“You are young, sir. How are you managing it? You could have enjoying your life still, enjoying your mid 20s without a heavy responsibility on your shoulders.” Pamil asked.

“It is stressful but I am enjoying my life in other ways and in the job itself despite of the busyness of it. That’s why I always tell in my book and to people that after graduation, always go into the place you want to be in, get the job that you know it can make you happy despite the stress you would get.” Sir Phoenix replied, and glanced at me.

“Go in the place you want to be, get the job that can make you happy……” I repeated and the class turned to me.

“Those are nice words that only apply to people who are in a good position in life... Can you tell that to a person who went homeless because of declining jobs that did not make him happy and chose the job he dreamt yet he was kicked out and left living in the street? Sir?” I commented making the whole class turned to me.

Phoenix frowned at me and so I continued.

“That is easy for you to say sir because you are in a good position in life... For fresh graduates, won’t you advise them to go practical as well in order to live? Whether it be in line with their bachelor’s degree or not?” I added.

There are some in the class who nodded and agreed at my statement and then their head turned back to Sir Phoenix, waiting for his answer.

“If a person was put in a situation that is against his will, and had no way to go out of it, then suck it up and find a way to enjoy your work although it was not what you wanted in the first place. Learn how to find happiness in things… in things that brought by unexpected plans and turn of events.” Sir Phoenix articulately answered. How come he always gets the last word?

“Good enough, sir.” I remarked, completely satisfied.

Further inquiries about his life and his business consumed the remaining minutes until the time came to an end.

“It was nice to meet you all. I hope to see y’all in the outside world.” Sir Phoenix ended after a couple of goodbyes from my classmates.

He took his laptop as we also started packing out things. But then, there was one last question that probably the ladies are dying to know the answer.

“Sir, last question…” Tovia said and so Sir Phoenix turned to her.

“Are you single?” she asked and the girls went very attentive to Sir Phoenix’s answer while the guys looked annoyed as if they are being outshined.

Sir Phoenix frowned as Tovia and it did not escape my eyes that he glanced at me in a brief manner.

“Yes.” He replied and the ladies squealed and giggled. I rolled my eyes coz as if Sir Phoenix would really be interested to any of us here. He is a very high man who would never give any of us here a glance. There are a lot of women in his world that are so much better than any of the girls in this university. Stop dreaming ladies, he’s unreachable. Know your limitations.

I took my bag and waited for the lecturer to leave first, out of respect. But before Sir Phoenix completely walk out, he looked at me and said,

“Kiara, your Dean asked me to send you in her office after our class.”

My eyes widened at him, and my classmates just glanced at me, knowing nothing.

Did he report me?
