17: Part 2

After dinner, I immediately went up to my bedroom and told Olivia to do the same. I didn't want Ethan to get suspicious of our plans if he found us lurking around the house late at night. I stayed up in bed until one in the morning. I was sure Ethan wouldn't sleep soon and I knew he was tired so he wouldn't sleep too late either.

I kept myself alert for any sounds of doors closing near my room which would indicate he was in his bedroom. And precisely so, I heard a door close shut softly at around half past midnight. I gave him about half an hour after that to sleep as I was pretty sure he wouldn't immediately go to sleep.
