Life troubles

Can today be any better? Of course not, right?

Megan thought to herself as she walked loosely on the street of New York with hot tears streaming down her face. This was the highest humiliation she had ever witnessed since her existence.

How could they do such to her? How could they be so cruel to cheat on the love and trust she had for them? She has always preserved a special place in her heart for both of them, Reina and Rhett. But today, they acted like she was worth nothing!

Just a piece of rag that should be tossed aside like garbage or waste bin that has no use whatever? Who knows? Maybe she was the main problem and can't keep men?

Her sight was getting blurry from the hot tears as she keep dragging herself with no place in mind. Her voice was croaked, she knows that. Her heart was heavy as her head banged violently.

She felt more than a hot blade slice through her heart. Does her brain find it too hard to contain all of it and her heart too? It gets way too heavy for it to fit in her chest.

She needs one thing for sure! To find somewhere to relieve her heavy heart. She knows she can't trust anyone at her stage of life, yes!

Wait! You think this is her first heartbreak, right? Of course, not!

Within a period of two years, she gets hurt at the end after entrusting her fragile heart to the four guys she thought she would end up with. Rhett is her fourth though!

What does trust produce at the end of her loyalty? Betrayal and heart breaks! The four guys she dated are nothing else but a cheat! Fucking male whore!

“Loyalty takes you nowhere, you get betrayed at the end of the day.” She muttered to herself, letting out a small but painful chuckle.

She stood near the counter as she wiped her running nose continuously with the back of her palm before turning her gaze to the barman.

"You haven't said what you want." The barman uttered as he offered her a piece of tissue. "This will help."

Megan took the tissue from him and wipe her nose dry before tossing it aside. "Thanks for the tissue." She muttered, trying her best not to sound broken.

"Not to mention. What did you want me to serve you?" The barman asked her again.

"What do you have?" Megan asked and he list most of them for her, she finally settled down for an alcoholic drink and he serves her afterward.

She made for a seat at the other end of the clubhouse, isolating herself from the clubhouse's activities. She was only here for a reason, to drink herself into a stupor and forget whatever issues that's bothering her for the main time.

Past half an hour into her drinking adventure, she was partially drunk as she keep lamenting and spitting cussed words.

"I hate those two cheats and wish they never exist, their existence alone is enough to make me puke. Fucking cheats..." She cussed as she tried to fill her cup again.

"So, who are these two you hate and get puked by their existence...?!" A strange figure hovered around her, his voice was husky and straight.

"Go away! You are no way better than them, all of you are just birds of the same feathers. A piece of fucking cheats." She did not bother to look up or acknowledge the stranger's presence as she howled those words at him.

"Hmm... I see..." The stranger hummed as he dragged the nearest chair, placing it at the front of her table. He made to sit.

"Don't sit. Just go away, very far away." She said scornfully as she points her index finger at him.

"Hey, stop judging without proof okay?" He sat down, adjusting his seat a bit closer to the table. "Not everyone behaves irrational like them."

"Really...?!" She rolled her eyes at him in scorn. "Why then do I keep getting the same fate from everyone?"

"Same fate from everyone?" The stranger asked, as he creased his browed in bewilderment. He wanted to hear more about her escapade with the people she keep cussing about. "That's not possible?"

"You say it is not possible right? I'm sure I'll say the same if I did not catch each of them red-handed." Megan uttered spitefully. "The first three aside. But what did you have to say to this? You get to see your fiancee buried deep in between your best friend's thigh and they both acted like nothing happened?"

The stranger was not shock or surprised at her outburst, he only let out a sigh.

"Since I've been in a relationship with any guy, I've always gotten my ass kicked brutally by each and every one of them. The four guys I've dated are nothing but a cheat, I regret ever meeting with them." She blurted out with so much hatred laced in her voice as she made to chug down a full cup of drink, almost choking at the attempt.

The stranger quickly took the cup from her to stop her from choking herself with the remains in the cup. "Easy. You might hurt yourself doing that." He cautioned but his husky voice wasn't hard on her.

She scoffs at his polite gesture but says nothing about it and continues with her narration instead. "Just a few hours ago, I caught my best friend and my fiance together. That bastard, after engaging me still had the gut to cheat on me with my friend?"

Anyone could have lied and faked being emotional but with one glance at her, one could tell she was sincerely hurt.

"This is  really bad and awful thing to have happened to you." He muttered. "I guess we have the same plight but mine is different, not about cheating. But it's okay, I'm fine by..."

Megan cut him short, rudely. "Tell me!" She demanded. "Tell me about yours, you can see I just told you mine. Who knows? I might get some advice for you."

"Advice me to drink myself to stupor?" He snickered, earning a short scornful expression from Megan. "Fine, I'll tell you mine."

"Go on..."

"I always have the same fate with every of my relationship, I think I'm blessed in dating gold diggers who are always after my wealth. They always break up with me after extorting so much for me, relationship really sucks a lot." He ended his speech with a sigh.

Megan shook her head in pity. "We are on the same both of always having a bad relationship then?"

"I guess so, but with a different plight. Yours is the fourth failed relationship while mine is the third." He added, concurring with her statement.

"It doesn't matter anymore." She waved it off. "Why don't you drink your heart away, then? This might help you forget about your broken heart for a while."

The stranger had wanted to disagree with her but he couldn't resist her puppy face and soon, he found himself giving in to her request...
