Chapter Three - Wedding Anniversary Night

[Ivy’s POV]

Today was my third wedding anniversary. And I spent it alone, as usual.

Yes, I'm married.

Although it was arranged and perfunctory, it was still a marriage.

Today marks three years since I've been in a loveless and sexless marriage.

That's right, even after being married for three years, I was still a virgin.

But tonight, I was ready to lose that.

My husband Alex and I were both orphans who were set up by the director of the orphanage we grew up in.

We both left the orphanage after we turned eighteen. Two years later, when I was twenty, I received a call from the director saying he wanted to matchmake me with Alex whom I had not seen for two years.

Not having much thought, I agreed. After meeting up with Alex twice, we decided to get the marriage certificate and it has been three years since then.

Moreover, in the span of the three years we have been married, the number of times I have seen Alex could be counted on one hand.

Alex was never home and he always attributed it to his work. The only thing he said to me after we got married was that he had a highly time-consuming job which he could not tell me about.

I had always kept my distance from men knowing I was married, but today I was going to seduce one and finally lose my virginity.

Leaving the hotel, I hailed a cab and went to a club bustling with people.

The first thing I did there was to order drinks, alcohol to increase my courage.

I could feel people already glancing and staring at me probably because I was pretty.

It seemed there was no need for the seducing part of the plan. I could just pick one of the men paying attention to me.

But he had to be good-looking.

I looked around at the men, till my eyes landed on a corner.

Deep and Dark eyes stared back at me. The man was handsome but I could feel something dangerous in his gaze, like he wanted to do things to me.

But I had already decided.

Even with the dangerous air he gave off, he was still going to be my target.

He was the most handsome man here and to be honest, he looked out of place.

He looked like he belonged to a big conference room filled with people he could order about and discussing capital and profit.

He looked even more noble than the guests she had seen earlier at the banquet.

The most important reason why I chose him as my target was not only because he was handsome and had been staring at me, but also because he looked neat.

I wouldn't want to have sex with a sleazy and greasy man.

Locking onto my target, I ordered another drink and walked unhurriedly to where he was seated.

I made sure to sway my hips when walking and I smiled when I saw his eyes following my hip’s movement.

It was quite stimulating having a handsome man’s gaze on me.

I loved how it felt.

“Hi,” I said, standing in front of him while stretching out the drink in my hand to him.

He smiled before reaching out to take it and replying in a low voice, “Hi”

Sure enough, his voice was as handsome as he was.

I took a seat beside him without asking for his permission and turned my body sideways, facing him.

“I see you have been staring at me” I stated with a flirtatious smile.

“I couldn't help it, especially with how attractive you are” The man replied, clearly flirting back.

Hearing this, I didn't feel like beating around the bush. So, I went straight to the point.

“You are quite handsome yourself. Would you be interested in spending the night with me? I would pay if you want” I offered even though from the look of things he didn't need my money.

He chuckled lightly, then looked me deep in the eyes.

“I don't need your money” He said slowly and deliberately, wrapping one of his hands around my waist.

“But it would be my greatest honor to serve you and spend the night with you” He said lightly before planting a soft kiss on the side of my lips.

“Great, I'll pick the hotel” I said with a smile, knowing I was finally going to lose my virginity today.

“Alright, let's go” He said pulling me up.

He led me outside to the club’s parking lot and we got into a car.

I could tell the man was definitely loaded from the type of car he was driving.

I input the hotel’s location into the car GPS. It was still the Royalty Hotel, but this was another branch.

This branch was closer to the club.

On the way to the hotel, he stopped the car in front of a pharmacy and my face grew red realizing what he had gone to buy.

Sure enough, he came back with condoms. Large ones.

This finally made what I was about to do feel real.

It felt surreal, but I was going to go through with it no matter what.

A voice in my head was constantly reminding me that I was married, I had a husband, I would be cheating on him, but I shut it out.

My so-called husband might have even been cheating on me all this time I remained chaste.

When we got to the hotel, I didn't need to say anything.

The man, whose name I never asked for, did all the talking.

He directly booked the hotel's presidential suite and in no time we were led to the top floor.

Once again, I felt the weight of what we were about to do.

But this time, I had decided to follow my heart and do what I wanted.

No longer confining myself to the vows of a loveless marriage.
