Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Six

"You need to clean up," Dane advised Henry.

Henry turned to him with a quirked brow. Was Dane asking him to abandon Eve?

Dane sensed his conflicting thought. "You can go home, clean up and return immediately after that maybe by the time you return, she would have woken up," he said.

Henry turned away, communicating his lack of interest in the suggestion.

"I came with the jeep so I can drive you home and once you're done, we will hurry back here," Dane added.

Henry stood up with a groan. He felt weak and his clothes were smelling of blood. He looked filthy.

Perhaps a bath will suffice. He turned to Dane. "Do you think we should wait for the girls to arrive before we leave?" he was referring to Eve's friends.

Dane shook his head in disagreement. "I'll suggest we leave as soon as possible. You need to clean up and besides, it's not as if we are doing anything waiting out here so I'll suggest we move right now."

Henry agreed with a nod and slipped his phone into his pants pocket.
