Abigail Hayes
~•~Maya and I arrived at the club an hour ago and I still hadn’t seen anyone who caught my fancy. Maya had dragged me to dance some minutes ago, but I got bored pretty quickly and left her alone on the dance floor. It was a five-star hotel with a club so I was certain the men around were rich, but they just didn’t catch my eye.I was by the bar, sipping a glass of margarita when someone suddenly occupied the stool two stools away from mine. Instinctively, my eyes darted to the man, trying to be subtle as I checked him out.The lights were bright so I could clearly see his cold green eyes. He didn’t have to say anything for the bartender to approach him and take his order. His brown hair was ruffled and his appearance screamed elegance, dressed in what seemed to be an expensive suit. He hadn’t spoken but I didn’t have a doubt his voice would be just as sexy as he was.Bingo.Subtly, I brought out my phone and pretended to make a call. I wanted to show Maya that I’d found my target for the night, just in case he turned out to be a serial killer.I opened the camera app and pressed the volume button, my entire body freezing when I realized I had forgotten to turn off the flash.Fuck. This was not how I expected my night to go. The only attractive man I managed to find would think I was some creepy woman. I winced and turned around slightly, afraid to fully face him.His head slowly turned in my direction until his eyes landed on me. Without saying anything, his head dipped to my chest, then down my body. His gaze was so intense that it left goosebumps in its wake.He did it once, twice, thrice, before he finally spoke, proving me right. “You do know I could get you arrested for that.” His voice was deep, gruff, and authoritative. I was certain he was in a position of power.I smiled, but it came out as a grimace. “Sorry.”“Delete it.”I closed my eyes briefly, hating the embarrassment that came with this. I understood him though. Some people didn’t like taking pictures. Some loved their privacy.I deleted the picture and held the phone up to his face. He nodded. “Good girl.”I blinked, surprised by the words that just exited his mouth, and crossed my legs, needing some kind of friction in between them. His gaze darted to my crossed legs and he licked his lips as the bartender placed his drink in front of him.“Why were you taking pictures of me?” He finally asked, even if he sounded bored. His eyes were stuck on my naked thighs. I was putting on a short black dress and it became shorter when I crossed my legs. I smirked internally, shimmying on my seat and giving him an even better show. It seemed like I hadn’t lost all hope then.“You are attractive.” I shrugged, daring to be bold. I held out a hand to him. “I’m Abby.”“George.” He took my hand and I had to physically restrain myself from flinching at how much affected I was by his touch.“Why don’t you buy me a drink?” I questioned, batting my lashes as I took the lime from the top of my glass and ran my tongue around it before placing it in my mouth and chewing delicately. I saw the outline of his tongue poking his cheek and I knew he knew what I was doing. A lot of people came to the club for one-night stands and I was no different. There was no shame in sex.He nodded to my half-full cup and I downed it in one go.His shoulders shook gently but I didn’t see any other sign of laughter from him as he beckoned the bartender with his index finger. “Get her another glass.” He instructed him. “On my tab.”“Okay, sir.”I smiled as the bartender got to work. I turned back to the stranger. I merely wanted to hook up. I wasn’t interested in small talk, but, “What's a fine man like you doing here by yourself?”“I’d rather not share my life with a stranger.” He was curt and straight to the point.“Fair enough.”I didn’t know what else to say. My legs bounced nervously, drawing his attention back to it. “Do you want to go upstairs with me?” It was a good thing he was straightforward because I didn’t know how else to suggest it.“What about the drink?” It was an expensive drink and he had already paid for it. It would be a shame for it to waste.“I’m certain there’d be wine in the room.”“Let me tell my friend I’m leaving.”He nodded patiently. If it weren’t for his eyes straying back to my body, I wouldn’t even think he was interested in me. His gaze seemed bored and uninterested. He looked like the kind of man that it took a lot to impress.[Me: I’m going upstairs. You can leave without me.]Even if she was dancing, her reply came immediately.[Maya: found you a man already?][Me: took a while but yep. See you tomorrow][Maya: Okay, babe. Have fun]I told her to have fun too before I put my phone back in my clutch and faced George. “I’m ready.”Nodding, he got down from the stool and started walking out and I followed behind him. He was taller than me, over six feet, and even with the three-inch heels I was wearing, I felt dwarfed next to him.He didn’t look back as he strolled into the hotel, going straight to the reception. I stayed by the side as he spoke with the person before he gave him the key card to whatever room he booked. I let out a breath. I thought he’d already have a room before inviting me upstairs. I knew how hard it was to stay in this hotel without a reservation.“Shall we?” He questioned, as though asking for my consent again.I nodded. “Yes.”George led me into the elevator and as soon as it closed, he backed me up against the wall and his lips were on mine.George Galanti~•~I never thought there’d be a time when I would hate working, but I hated it a lot recently because it kept me away from my wife. She was so close yet so far away. It was distracting.I straightened up when the door to my office suddenly opened. “Mr. Galanti, what can I do for you this time?”I held back a laugh. This was the seventh time I was calling her into my office and it was only ten in the morning. “I don’t know, Mrs. Galanti. What can you do for me?”Abigail shot me an irritated look. “I’m beginning to regret working for you again.”“It’s been two months since you resumed. You should be used to it by now.”After months of pleading with her, Abigail finally agreed to be my secretary again, but it was part-time this time around. She usually clocked off by one so she could attend her baking classes.I was happy she was finally doing what she wanted but baking classes introduced her to more people. She had more friends and less time for me because she had to han
Abigail Hayes~•~A few weeks later, there was news that Micheal Rivera was being held in prison while being investigated because he had done much more than kill my father and strip people of their businesses. In his lifetime, he had changed his last name about six times, the first one being as soon as he turned eighteen. I didn’t know what kind of sad life he had that he had to change his name as soon as possible and I didn’t care to know his story.Whatever was wrong with his childhood didn’t give him the right to kill my father. I was more than happy when George forwarded the news to me and I forwarded it to my mother who called me to express her happiness and gratitude.Music was blasting from the speakers and I was doing a little dance while I played around with flour. I was getting better at making pastries. I could make a doughnut now but I was still experimenting with the toppings.I was so in my head that I didn’t hear it when the front door opened nor did I hear footsteps un
Abigail Hayes~•~I had said this a hundred times but I was going to keep repeating it.George was a stubborn man.I had told him not to worry about my family because I was going to take care of them by myself but he insisted on searching for a new house with a better security and smoke system. He could have just made one for the current house but according to him, part of it was gone and could fall anytime. I agreed with him on that.He told me that if I didn’t agree, he was going to find one behind my back, so I had no choice but to go house hunting with him.My mom was going to be mad, but I was going to emotionally blackmail her into accepting it. I would only be assured after they had settled down in a safe environment.“What are you going to do about him?” I questioned as we drove to our next destination. He knew exactly who I was talking about. I didn’t even have to call a name. “He’s in the midst of a name change again.”“How do you know that?”“I have eyes on him.” George shr
George Galanti~•~“Including fuck me in your parents’ house?” Abigail asked with a sly smile when she broke away for breath.“What?”“You said you’d do anything for me.”“Your mother is under this roof.” I reminded her.She nodded. “I know.”“So is your sister.”“Mm-hmm.”“And your best friend.” She still wasn’t deterred. “Your parents-in-law.”“I’ll be quiet:”I chuckled when I realized I wasn’t going to be able to talk her out of it. The tub was big enough to accommodate four people so we could do whatever we wanted. She leaned toward me again, placing both of her legs on both sides of mine so she could sit on my lap. Both of us were already naked and in the water. “The walls are quite thick but you’ll have to be quiet anyway,” I informed her.She loved to act like I had a high sex drive that she couldn’t keep up with but she was even worse than me. If I wasn’t so in love with her that I was almost obsessed with her body, I didn’t think I would have been able to keep up with her.W
Abigail Hayes~•~George’s mother was absolutely surprised when she saw all six of us pull up to her house. George assured her we’d be done by tomorrow; not all of us though, everyone except Olivia and my mom.My mom said they would also leave the next day and find a hotel to stay at until they figured something out. Maya then said her offer was still available, which led to another round of arguments. However, George’s mother was welcoming enough that she insisted they both stay there for the meantime. His father was also accommodating. He figured they could use this as a chance for both families to bond.I didn’t mind, but I thought they’d be inconveniencing them. George thought otherwise.Dinner was rowdy and everyone was talking at once. Olivia recounted the story about how she perceived the smell of the fire and was confused for a second. She thought her senses were playing tricks on her but as soon as she told our mom, mom told her to take her valuables outside and call the fire
George Galanti~•~All of us had to leave because we were all worried. We hadn’t even touched our food but we didn’t have time to pack them home so Charles just paid the bill and we were on our way to Abigail’s childhood home. She was worried as fuck and even if she knew her mother and sister were safe, she was still close to crying. I didn’t blame her. I would lose my shit if I found out my parents were in danger.Charles drove as fast as the speed limit would allow and it seemed like it was high enough because it didn’t take too long before we arrived at the place. The car hadn’t even properly come to a stop before Abigail was running out of it. I was worried she’d fall but even with the heels, she landed safely.Maya and I exited the car and allowed Charles to find somewhere to park. There was a fire truck in front of the house but no ambulance and I was happy about that.By the time I reached the front of the house, Abigail was in a deep embrace with her mother and sister. She was
