Tyler's POV

It couldn't be. How was Quinn seated behind the huge desk of the office of the CEO.

Was I missing something ?

" Good morning sir" my voice came out clearly hiding any form of suspicion. Thank goodness I was wearing glasses and I dyed my hair black last night . Although I did it because I hate answering questions about what's the actual colour of my hair.

"Sit"

He ignored my greeting and ordered. A cold hearted bastard as usual.

If only he knew what he did with me. How he made me moan nonstop, driving his thick long length in and out of me. I quickly pushed the thought back. It would be rude to spot a boner at an interview . And he'll probably murder me on the spot if he ever finds out I was the one. He hated me right from school. And he probably won't remember I was the kid from before.

I sat down on one of the extremely comfortable couches in the office, my heart racing nonstop but I wasn't going to let it show. The office was cold but hot at the same time.

Quin stood up and walked around his large desk, exposing or rather showing off his expensive outfit.

"Have you done this before?"

"Excuse me?" I blurted out but immediately covered it with a quick " I'm sorry. No I haven't."

He walked closer and sat on the couch obviously meant for him.

"How long do you plan on working here?" His piercing sea blue eyes were probably drilling invisible holes through my head.

"For as long as you will have me."

Shit that sounded weird but I'll go with it either way.

"Are you in a relationship?"

Was this supposed to be part of an interview question?

 “No sir” I answered anyway.

He looked and me for a moment nodded then ordered, "You can take your leave, I'll have my secretary contact you."

I looked at him with an obviously confused expression. But swallowed whatever was about to leave my mouth.

"Thank you sir." I said and stood up.

"Mr McKenzie." I heard Quin's voice

I turned to look at him.

"Call me Mr McKenzie."

"Oh. Yes, Mr Mackenzie." I repeated after him. And with that I was out of his office.

Outside the office, I nodded briefly at the secretary and gave a small smile as I walked straight to the elevator.

The moment the elevator door closed, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

Everything about this new job was giving me mixed feelings. I took a cab back to my apartment. Something else kept bothering me .

Did he forget all about me?

I meant the me he bullied in school. Of course he would. I was nothing but a play thing that satisfied his veil pride and ego.

I needed to call Cassie.

But another call came in instead.

"MOM"

This woman is after my happiness. I hate her for it but she's my mother.

I picked up and put the phone on speaker.

"I know you weren't planning on picking up my call. After all I've done for you."

She's the worst kind of mother anybody could ever ask for. A mother who pleases her boyfriends by letting them have their way with her son.

"What do you want from me now?" My voice sounded obviously irritated. Because I was irritated by her.

"I'm at the police station, I need you to come bail me."

I sighed, "What did you do this time?"

"That is no way to talk to your mother, you ungrateful fruit of my womb."

"Fine if you won't tell me, then call your boyfriends to come bail you."

I was about to end the call when she said it.

"I couldn't pay for my drink." She was so shameless. Why would a mother be that shameless?

"Fine , I'm on my way."

I ended the call.

I put on something comfy and headed to the station. When I got there I spotted my mom talking and laughing with some guy in the stall. She looked comfortable.

Why are they even in the same category?

I thought male and female are separated.

I quickly went to the desk where I made payment and bailed my mother.

"I'm here for Jessica Davis." I told the cop at the desk.

"Sign here." He pointed to a piece of paper, handing me a pen,"And here."

After signing I told the cop to delay her bail by an hour so I'll be home when she leaves the station.

By the time I got home I was tired , I made noodles and called the one person who wasn't asking for anything except for me to trust in them.

Cassie.

She picked up immediately.

"Hey sugar, What's up?"

"I've got happy news and sad news." I muttered.

"Hit me with the happy news first." She said,

"Ok. I got a job."

"Fuck yeah! And?"

"My boss is Quin." It sounded like a whisper.

"You're fucked man." The joy in her voice disappeared immediately.

"Yeah, I'm fucked." I muttered.

"Cheers up sugar, he doesn't know y'all tied the knot so you're safe" the cheer was back in her voice.

"Yeah." I said grimly

"My boss is calling, let's meet up tomorrow, okay?"

"Yeah."

And the line went dead silent.

Cassie and I hardly meet up. She's usually too busy and honestly, I think there's something going on between her and her boss.

I spent the rest of the evening going through the internet searching for everything I could find on Quin McKenzie. Before sleep consumed me.

Two days later I received another mail from Quin's secretary to resume work the following week.

A notification popped up, something about Quin and I couldn't resist.

I looked at the picture attached and read the headlines slowly with shaky hands. My heart beat spiked. Because I couldn't believe what I was reading.

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    I don't think I'm fit to be a parent

Tyler's POV Cooper was gone. For a second, I couldn’t breathe. The leash dangled uselessly from my hand as I spun around, scanning every inch of the park I couldn't find him. No golden fur, no wagging tail and no puppy. My heart started hammering so hard it felt painful. “Cooper!” Several people glanced toward me. I ignored them. My eyes darted everywhere, Every possible direction a three-month-old golden retriever could have wandered off to. Nothing. “Oh God.” My stomach dropped. How long had I been texting Cassie? Two minutes? Three? Five? How long had I not been paying attention? Panic surged through me. My phone buzzed again. I checked it ,panicking thinking it was Quin. ~Cassie: Tyler? ~Cassie:Why did you stop replying? ~Cassie: Tyler? I shoved the phone into my pocket. Not now. Cooper was missing, Quin’s puppy was missing. Our puppy was missing. My legs moved before my brain could catch up. I hurried down the pathway. “Cooper! Baby where are you?” A woman pushing a s

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Where is Cooper?

Tyler's POVI spent the first twenty-four hours after Quin brought the puppy home pretending I wasn’t completely obsessed with him.It was a losing battle. I couldn't hide my excitement. The golden retriever puppy—which Quin had somehow managed to smuggle into our lives without warning—had immediately taken over the entire house. And my heart. Mostly my heart.“Dont make him disappear with your eyes.”I looked up from where I sat on the living room floor. Quin stood near the kitchen entrance holding a cup of coffee, one eyebrow raised. I looked back at the puppy. The puppy was staring back at me with those big, ridiculous eyes.“That won't happen.”“Thw way You’re smiling and looking at it one would think otherwise. And you're smiling way too much.”“So?”“You only smile like that when you’re looking at me.”I immediately looked away. The puppy chose that exact moment to roll onto his back and expose his soft little stomach. My soul left my body. I couldn't help but rub it's stomach.

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Congratulations on your first Child

Quin's POVI woke up before Tyler which felt like a win. For the past few days it was the opposite. But this morning his breathing was slow and even beside me. The pain medication was taking a toll on him. The doctor had prescribed it after his shoulder injury. It helped him sleep, which was good. The problem was that it gave him an excuse to sleep even more.I rolled onto my side and studied him. His hair was a complete mess, sticking up in every direction. His mouth was slightly open. One arm was tucked beneath the pillow. The sling was still carefully wrapped around his injured shoulder. A faint bruise remained visible near his jaw. And despite everything, he was still the most beautiful person I’d ever seen.I reached out and brushed a strand of hair away from his face. He immediately frowned in his sleep.“Five more minutes.”I smiled. “You’re asleep.”“Still five more minutes.”I laughed quietly. He wasn’t even awake. For a moment I simply just watched him. The past week replaye

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Maybe Healing Looked Like this

Tyler's POVThe hospital was exactly where neither of us wanted to be. But unfortunately, life rarely cared about what we wanted.I sat on the examination bed while a nurse carefully wrapped my shoulder into what felt like the world’s most uncomfortable sling. The fabric was stiff and too tight, and every time she adjusted it a dull ache pulsed through the joint. Apparently I hadn’t completely broken it so I was lucky.Quin will not let me forget how stupid I had been throwing myself down like that but I don't regret it.“You threw yourself and an entire chair into a wall.”I looked at him. “ You didn't have a better idea though. And it was the fastest way to escape.”“You were being reckless. What if he hadThe nurse snorted under her breath. “You’re supposed to be on my side. I'm your patient.”“I'm sorry but I don't support intentional self harm.”Quin looked far too pleased by that answer. I glared at both of them but they ignored it.Two hours later we were finally released. The

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    End of the Nightmare

Tyler's POVThe pain in my shoulder was becoming unbearable.I stared at the ropes around my wrists and wondered if I had finally lost my mind. Maybe I had. Because the only thing keeping me from screaming was the thought of Quin sitting only a few feet away from me. He was still tied to the chair. Still trapped. And I was done sitting there doing nothing.I shifted carefully, trying not to put too much pressure on my injured shoulder. Pain shot through my body anyway, making my teeth clench.Quin immediately noticed. “Tyler.” I looked at him. “Stop.”“I’m fine.”“You’re not fine.”“I will be.”His eyebrows pulled together. “ Stop moving before you make it worse.”I almost laughed. Even tied to a chair and held hostage, Quin was still trying to boss me around. “I need to get us out of here.”“We will.”“When?”He didn’t answer, because obviously there was no answer.I looked down at the ropes again. They had loosened when I smashed the chair against the wall. Not enough to pull my han

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Delusion can't compete with reality

Tyler's POVThe chair shattered.Wood exploded against the wall with a loud crack that seemed to shake the entire room. Lucas turned quickly, obviously dumb founded by my action. Quin stared at me too. Hell, even I was a little surprised by what I’d just done. Then pain shot through my shoulder as I crashed onto the floor along with the remains of the chair.“Tyler!”Quin’s voice echoed through the room, sharp with worry.“I’m fine,” I grunted. That was a lie. Everything hurts. My shoulder hurt,my back hurt,my wrists definitely hurt where the ropes still dug into the skin. But I wasn’t dead, so that counted as a win. The ropes around my arms had loosened considerably when the chair broke. Not enough to free me completely, but enough to give me hope. And apparently enough to terrify Luca. His expression had changed completely. The smug confidence was gone and the satisfaction was gone. Now he looked nervous. Good. He should be.“You’ve lost your mind,” he snapped.I slowly pushed mysel

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Unexpected Headlines

Tyler's POV "Heir to the Makell Empire Allegedly got married to a man in Vegas" Below the headline was a picture of me wearing a mask and Quin standing opposite me putting a ring on my damn finger. Wait, why was I even panicking? It's not like anyone would recognise me. The picture was kinda bl

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Drunken Mistake

Tyler's POV I prefer dream Quin to real Quin. Real Quin hated me and was most definitely straight. He kept fucking and hitting my prostrate, earning more screams from me. At some point he pulled the pillow from under me , flipped me over and held my ass to the air. I was soo close to the edge. I

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    In Bed with the Devil

Tyler's POV Quin and I didn't really play any drinking games. It was probably just his way of making me drink with him. I couldn't remember how we got to his room. Fuck. I drank too much. My eyes felt heavy, I could barely stand. I saw a figure moving towards me through my blurry vision. I rubb

  • The Billoniare's Fake Husband    Drinks with The Devil

Tyler's pov "You ungrateful piece of shit,” my mom yelled through the phone. “After everything I’ve done for you, Tyler. I even decided to keep you instead of flushing you out when I had the opportunity to.” It was nothing new, but the story was always new. “I told you I don’t have that kind
