Chapter 3

A chorus of respectful greetings instantly rang out across the set.

"Oh, Joe, you're here!"

Everyone in the industry knew that Keith Litt, the eldest son of the Litt family, had personally picked Joe Tucker to be Kelly's agent.

Kelly immediately perked up, like she had found her savior.

"Joe, some lunatic pretended to be the Litt heiress and hit me!"

Joe walked over with a frown. "Who the hell—"

"Joe." I interrupted in a low, cold voice. "A few years ago, you were following Keith around like a lackey, and now you've made a name for yourself?"

Everyone was shocked to hear me speak so casually to Joe.

Joe was about to unleash his fury when he finally got a clear look at my face. His expression changed abruptly.

"It's you!" he exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

I sneered. "What? Do I have to inform you everywhere I go?"

Joe's face darkened.

By now, Kelly had completely blown her top. "How dare you speak to Joe like that?

"Joe, that's her! She's the shameless bitch who wants to stake a claim on my brothers!"

Joe's eyes darted around nervously. After a moment of hesitation, he buried the panic in his eyes and sneered. "She's just a nobody. Is she worth my time? Besides, I've been working for the Litt family for years, and I've never heard of them having a daughter!"

I narrowed my eyes when I heard that.

Joe's voice boomed across the set. "Wrap up filming for today. Everyone, leave. We have a private matter to attend to!"

The crew didn't dare to offend him or the person he represented, so they quickly packed their gear.

Kelly was unhappy with the turn of events, though. She demanded, "Why ask them to leave? I'm not done with her!"

Joe pulled her to the side, whispering, "She's indeed the Litt heiress."

Kelly was shocked, her eyes widening. Jealousy surged in her immediately.

"What? Then I certainly can't just let her go like that! I'll humiliate her thoroughly today, so no directors will ever hire her again!"

Joe's expression turned grim. He retorted, "Are you dumb? You've called the Litt brothers. They will be here soon. If they see their sister, do you think they will still care about you?"

A wave of panic washed over Kelly. "What do I do then? I don't want to go back to my old life!"

Joe turned and gave me a ruthless glare. He then signaled to the bodyguards coldly.

They immediately dragged me out.

I panicked, struggling with all my might. "Joe! How dare you! This is kidnapping!"

He didn't even flinch. "Take her away!"

I threw desperate glances at the few crew members who hadn't left yet. "Please, help me! Call the cops! They're trying to kidnap me!"

The young women hesitantly took out their phones before Joe's voice cut in.

"Do you want to go against the Litt family? Do you want to be blacklisted in this industry?"

Although his voice wasn't loud, it sent chills down their spines.

The women grew pale as they quietly put their phones away, crushing any hope of escape I had left.

The bodyguards dragged me all the way to the parking lot and threw me into the back seat of a car, slamming the door shut.

I glared at Joe, warning him, "Don't get any ideas! The moment I disappear, my brothers will definitely come looking for me!"

Joe adjusted his cuffs in an unhurried manner and smirked. "Ms. Litt, who are you to threaten me? If the Litt family really cared about you, your career wouldn't be in such a pitiful state."

I sneered inwardly.

He knew exactly who I was, yet he still dared to speak to me like this.

A memory suddenly flashed through my mind. The last person who had disrespected me like Joe did was silenced forever by my brothers.

But as the car sped forward, the towering buildings vanished, replaced by a desolate mountain road.

I began to panic. "Where are you taking me?"

Joe smiled as he glanced at me and simply picked up his phone. "I've brought you someone. She's pretty, young, and definitely top quality."
