A Little Surprise

The three of them stood in front of the whole procession of people. Three thrones now sat on the riser. The two largest chairs were the Elder Lord’s and his Queen’s. The last large chair sat to the right of the Queen’s throne and that one was Raven’s. The room was filed to the brim with the Bitten, their people, different sorts of creatures and guests of highborns in the Clan. Every guest made their introductions and offerings to the Queen and their Princess. Flowers, casks of wines, trunks filled with fine dresses, small chests filled with gold and gemstones and much more laid at their feet.

After each attendee made their introduction, they took their leave. The hall seemed so much larger now that it was emptied. “You were well received. I’ll have your gifts taken to your rooms.
