Margaret was so excited she ran with him through the halls. The few people who saw them shook their heads. “Was he wearing the crest?” “Why was he running with that girl?” “She’s the daughter of a lowborn lord. He’s the outcast son of another lord. They’re perfect for each other.” “Shhhh! We don’t notice or speak here,” the head Matron of the Cleaning Service told them all. They continued quietly not daring to erupt her anger.

Stopping at his doors, she swayed with anticipation. “Open it! Go in!” He laughed and nodded towards the door, “My room.” A big smile covered his jaw and he swung open the doors. Bridget was in there like a blur lighting the candles and fire, dusting out the corners and curtains. She opened the windows and the sheers flew into the wind. His belongings were already there and Bridget beamed, “Prince Bradford.” She bowed to him with a deep curtsy. “Your apartments, Sir” as she winked at him. Bradford blushed and tan up and hugged her.
