We walked in silence.

The only thing I could hear was the soft drumming of animal hooves and paws as they ran around in the dark, along with the flapping of bat wings as they flew over us.

Our footsteps were quiet, and we had always trained to keep ourselves calm in these kinds of situations, so the collective heart beats were barely audible compared to the noise around us.

With how quiet we were, I had no doubt in my mind that we would be able to sneak in and out before they even know what hit them. And come sun rise, they will wake to their land painted with their own blood.

"How dark is it?" I asked Sam through our mind link.

"It's pretty dark. We're hidden between the shadows of the trees, so we won't be spotted." He replied.

"Keep your eyes wide open. We're in their territory. We don't know their routine. So if we come across a night patrol, it's nessassary that we deal with them before they can mind link anyone else." I commented, speaking to the entire group through the mind li
