Nikki POV Pulling up in front of the pack house, I see a couple standing out front. The man is handsome with tanned skin and piercing gray eyes. The woman is beautiful. Nikki POV Today is the day. I should be more excited for orientation day, but I'm not. This is the first time I have ever truly felt alone. Don’t get me wrong I felt alone when my mother was killed and that’s what started my unfortunate drinking binge. Definitely not a moment that I am proud of. But now I am truly alone. Pursuing my dream career is wonderful and I could really go somewhere with it, but I am scared and I miss everyone terribly already. I showered quickly and did my lotion routine. Nikki POV After my counseling session, I went home and made myself some dinner as the meal plan included in my tuition did not begin until the next day when classes began. After dinner I took time to journal, then washed up and readied for bed. I crawled into my bed and just laid there staring into the darkness. The bed seems huge without Frankie in it. Nikki POV This week went by in a blur. I spent Sunday training with the junior warriors of the Desert Moon pack. It felt good to give my muscles a true work-out. Classes are going good, this first semester feels more like a repeat of my senior year. I am still journaling everyday and this week at counseling was intense. We talked about the attempted assault over the weekend and then we talked about my mom’s death. I had a really bad moment on Wednesday after classes when I was alone in my apartment. I had thoughts of what it would be like to be dead like my parents. Were they happy? Did the Goddess allow them to see how my life is going? Were they proud of me for trying to move on with my life? Was I really moving on with Frankie coming to visit? Was I holding him back from preparing to meet his mate? I cried for hours.
