After the incident at the river, Elizia decided that they stay away from each other temporarily. At least until the situation simmers down. Elias was against it but what can he do? He doesn't want to come between Elizia and her older brother. They are what's left of their family. Speaking of family, Selena's been gone for two weeks already. Nobody really knew where she went aside from what she told them that she has some important things to do. She left Elias to lead the pack while she's gone.
"It's been almost a month since you last leave the estate. What happened to you and Elizia?" Jordan asked Elias as he sat down on the bench in front of him.
"None of your business, Jordan," Elias said coldly.
"Ouch! You hurt my feelings!" Jordan replied while acting as if he's really hurt. "In case you forgotten, I kept your secret. Sharing the deets is the least you can do for me." Then he added.
"She wanted us to stop seeing each other for a while." Elias started
The celebration has been nonstop since the day that Selena's family arrived at the estate. She was so happy to have them reunited. Elias's mood was considerably uplifted too. He was barely alone, always with his cousins and grandfather. Because of all the the stories his grandfather told him, Elias started to learn about being a werewolf. Thought it started as a curse, there's nobility and purity of being one with nature."Elias, let me see your eyes." His grandfather asked. They are now gathered in the garden of the estate having snacks and playing musical instruments.Elias didn't have to ask why. He obeyed his grandfather's request and summoned his werewolf eyes. Everyone was watching in awe when they saw Elias's werewolf eyes. The bright golden amber wolf eyes of an alpha. But Samuel noticed something that made him stand up."Why? Is something wrong with my eyes?" Elias asked worriedly."Selena when was Elias born?" Samuel asked Selena"Evening
Werewolves we're celebrating because of the successful attack they launched against the vampires. For more than twenty years it was the first time they retaliate and for them, it was more than satisfying. Even Nico smiled after they killed all the vampires in the compound. He felt satisfied and fulfilled to have avenged his parents."Nico, how do you feel?" Elias asked Nico as he approached him."I feel happy, Elias. I killed the man you ripped my mother's head in front of me." Nico answered while looking at Elias's eyes."Don't you feel remorse?" Elias asked him, trying to find a little bit of humanity from Nico."Do you?" Nico answered with another question and then scoffed. "Do you feel sorry for those bloodsuckers who slaughtered almost half of your pack? Who brutally killed your father, your mother's parents?" I don't feel sorry for them but I'm not happy slaughtering people." Said Elias. He was being honest. He knew those vampires deserved w
When the pack went out of hiding they shocked at so many dead vampires on the property. When Elias went out against his mother's order they were almost certain that his already dead. But to their surprise, Elias was standing in the middle of the open field, unscathed. But what surprised them even more, is to see vampires with handmade guns standing near their future alpha."What are you doing, Elizia?" They heard Elias asked the woman whose back was turned against them. Selena and some of the werewolves recognized the name. She's one of the original vampires."I just saved your life. The least you could do is be grateful." Elizia answered coldly."Be grateful? You asked me to stay away from you! So I did! Even if it hurts, I did! I was miserable, do you know that?" Elias's voice was full of bottled up emotions."What? Do you think you're the only one who suffered? I suffered, too! I felt the pain of losing you, too! So forgive me if I can't just simply st
In the days that followed, the Waxing Moon pack started to accept Elizia and her vampires. Some of them started to get along with each other. But some are still hesitant. Thousand years of hatred and vengeance cannot be erased by a single night."Ooops! I got it." Paloma exclaimed when she caught the large tree that almost fell on Jordan. "Be careful where you chop. You may have healing ability but this bad boy right here will surely hurt like a bitch." Paloma tossed the tree aside like it was nothing."Thanks! I miscalculated that." Jordan answered shyly. "What are you doing here, anyway?""Walking, thinking, contemplating the next hundred years." Paloma smiled at him like it was just a normal, civilized conversation."How long have—" Jordan could not complete his question. He doesn't want to offend the lady."How long I've been alive?" Paloma laughed seductively. "Honey, there's no need to gentle. I've alive for seven hundred years. Nothing
Vlad's plan to destroy whatever little connection the vampires made with the werewolves backfired. Selena no longer trusts him. Elias constantly gives him the dagger looks. No one would talk to him. He became an outcast on the pack that once revered him. He no longer has a place within the people he vowed to serve. -Flashback- Selena was mentally gone for a week. With the help of the previous alpha's emissary, Selena went through the Trial of the Moon Goddess. It's a trial dedicated to future alphas. And certainly not for the faint of heart. The trial is not meant to test the physical strength but the mental strength of the next leader. Any werewolf can be physically strong enough to be alpha but not all are mentally capable. "Do you know what happens to a werewolf during the trial?" Milled asked Vlad who's anxiously watching his best friend lay on the bed with her eyes wide open. "I'm not sure, Miller. All I know is that once you enter the trial, you
It was a cold and dark night. The moon is hiding, and the surrounding is so silent. For ordinary people, this is just a regular night. But for the members of the supernatural community, this kind of night is a sign. The Waxing Moon pack gathered in the open field of the estate."Something's happening," Vlad announced."I can feel it," Elias stated."The night is eerily quiet. Not even a cricket anywhere." Elizia confirmed. "This is bad.""What? How do you know?" Elias asks her. The woman he now loves in front of everyone. Elizia didn't respond. Instead, she looked at the moon and closed her eyes. A memory is trying to resurface from her mind. It was a long-forgotten memory. Something that Elizia wanted to bury deep within your heart. Elizia is an original vampire, and she never felt fear towards anyone. Anyone but this woman.- Flashback-It was the year 1961 when townspeople started calling certain types of women witches. Anyone with the ca
It's been an hour since the vampires left. They said they couldn't let Elizia go back home alone. And Elias hasn't wake up. They can hear his heartbeat, but he's not breathing. His body is also starting to get cold. Some of them are beginning to think that Elias is already dead. But no one can voice it because they fear their alpha's reaction."Come on, son, wake up," Selena whispered in his son's ear. She's staring at him lovingly. Selena is silently praying to the moon goddess to give her son back. He is the blessed alpha, the hope of their kind."Selena, I think it's time." Vlad placed his hand on her shoulder. His heart breaks for his best friend. They've been apart for twenty years, and now that they have found each other, this will happen."Time for what, Vlad?" Selena asked him angrily. "Time for me to accept that my son is dead? Is that what you are trying to say?" She grabbed his chin with her left hand while her right hand is on the back of his head. "
"Is anybody hurt?" Elias asked the vampires after they got away from Eliseo and Amarita. He still hasn't explained to them how he is alive. They didn't have the time. After running nonstop, their group reached the fifth town south of the compound. They used their vampire speed to get away as fast as they can. "What are you guys looking at? Elias sounded pissed off when he asked. They were all looking at him like he has something to explain about. "What? Am I not supposed to be there?" "Yes," He was stunned with Elizia's straightforward answer. "you were not supposed to be there. "You were not supposed to be here!" Elizia answered hysterically. "What—" "You were supposed to be dead!" Elias was not able to complete his question when Elizia interrupted him. "You were dead when I left. That's the reason I went home, to begin with!" Elizia started crying. She still couldn't believe that th
