Chp 20 Pt. 4 Haley’s Sacrifice

It’s been a week since Haley died and we are finally having her funeral. We had a mass funeral for all those that died and now we are all saying goodbye to our Luna. Many kids are heartbroken at the loss of their music teacher and asked if they could all play a piece during her funeral. I couldn’t deny them. Nick and Ray worked with all of them to be prepared for today.
I am in the nursery getting the twins ready for the funeral. They are barely a month old, too young to lose their mother. Besides her eyes, Alina looks just like her mother and I am sure that likeness will only grow as she ages. Asher has Haley’s eyes, hair and skin tone but his structure looks like me.
“Avery, are you ready,” asks Akila as she walks in.
“I am ready as can be. Do you mind grabbing Alina.”
“Of course.”

Alpha Avery 10 years later…… “Daddy! Paisley!” I did as Haley asked except the moon goddess blessed me with a second chance mate when the twins turned six. Haley “Haley you are going to be late for school!” “I’m coming mom!” I slept through my alarm again. If I make mom late to work because she has to drop me off I’ll be grounded for sure. I can see from my bedroom window the bus is already pulling up, making me rush downstairs. “Bye mom! Bye Dad!” “See you after school little wolf,” yells dad.
