5. First order

I went to my apartment with the coat that needed to be wash. I just looked at the coat in the paper bag. My mind went back to what happened a few hours ago.

" Miss, do you know who the man was? " The guard probed. I shrugged for answering the question.

" He's our chief executive. " The guard told me.

" Pfft. I know the chief executive, he's old enough." I laughed thinking that was a joke although I rarely met him but I knew what he looked like. But the guard's unchanging reaction make me doubt for a moment.

" He is indeed our chief executive, miss. " The man who was holding the coat confirming the statement. And again I heard ‘our chief executive’ I was bemused.

I was told by the man who was the secretary of chief executive his name is William. Our company has changed the chief executive three month ago. After he revealing the true he left me the coat which he put it in paper bag.

I went up to the office without coffee in my hand. Windy and Linda were surprise after seeing my condition. I get change my shirt with spare one. I told them of what had just happen to me.

" How do I suppose to clean this coat? The laundry was closed by now. It's okay right... if I clean it with a washing machine? " I was thinking on how am I supposed to wash the coat.

The next day I brought the coat with me to the work as I had to return the coat to its owner. I got into the CEO floor and met William, the chief executive secretary.

There was a big glass door as entry way to the office. The floor surely has a large space compared to the others with the whole wall painted with a black, copper colour as it’s a signature colour for EL ALFA. A big uniformed wall surface was built to make multi-functional 'spine' extends through the space to express how exclusive it is.

With unobtrusive wooden lining as a guide throughout the office it’s an elegantly designed for an office. To give a fresh vibe they included natural plants along the corridor. I have to admit that the office area has its own aura.

He greeted me as soon as he saw my face. " Good morning, Miss Hank. "

" Good morning, I’m here to give the coat back. " I greeted him before I told my purpose while rising the paper bag as to show to him.

" Yes, you can give the coat yourself to Mr. Walker. He’s been waiting for you in his office please follow me" William told me and showed the direction.

" Um.. wait! I don't think I need to do that. I need to go now! My co-worker needs my help right now. You can take this." I gave him a paper bag containing the coat.

William refused to take the bag. " No miss, you have to give it to him yourself as Mr. Walker urges. "

" Follow me, Miss Hank. "

" Urmm... okay " I surrendered

" This is the room you can knock it first before come in."

On the front door it written Zaer Walker CEO of EL ALFA. From what I know the CEO of this company was named Benjamin Walker, since when did this company change their CEO?' I knocked on the door and waited for a voice from inside.

" Come in" a man's voice from inside the office

' Relax violet he’s just a human being ' I try to calm down my nervous. 'god save my soul' As I quickly pray before step into his office.

I stepped into his office and close the door behind me. He was standing facing the glass wall between his office and the outside of the building while holding a file in his hands.

" Mr. Walker, this is your coat, I've cleaned it." I spoke up and put the bag on a coffee table.

" Give this file to IT department senior manager and get back here after that. " Mr. Walker ordered me. He referred to the file in his hand and put it on coffee table.

" Huh? Umm…. Yes, Sir. " I picked up the file and walk out from his office with it. I don’t have any second thought. I considered he might need help with since I was here.

I was back at the front hallway I passed in front of William’s desk he was typing on the computer.

" Did you gave the coat? " He asks as soon as he saw me.

" Yeah! He told me to give this file to the IT department." I answered his question and continued walking towards the elevator.

" Ohh. Good!" He smiled at me and continuing doing his work.

I immediately going to the direction I was supposed to. After a few minutes I got back to the floor like Mr. Walker said. Strangely the senior manager hasn’t recognise me when I give him the file.

" Miss Hank, Mr. Walker wanted you to bring this document to the meeting room for the next meeting." As soon as I stepped into the corridor William directly told me.

I'm was a little confused right now why do I have to do all this work? This is not my job? " Um… But why should I do that? It’s not even my job. "

" It's Mr. Walker's orders. " He answered and went back to typing

" Urmm... okayyy " I nodded but I was still confused. " But where's Mr. Walker? " I asked him again.

" He has an appointment with someone now. Can you send those document right away? The meeting will be held in ten minutes. " He told and left in a hurry. Again I have to do exactly what he told me.

For the second time I went back to that floor after that. I badly needed to end this madness as quick as possible. I can’t stand it anymore. The whole time I was in the meeting room I was questioning myself what did I do to deserve this treat.

What could my department have been doing right now? I was supposed to finish my part today after get interrupted by yesterday incident.
