I barely batted an eye at his outburst, I stared right back at him, my chin raised, “That name Mr Warner. And for the record, I am very careful and good too, that's why I'm being paid top dollars to do my job, so Let me do my job.”

The room went silent, not even a breath could be heard as we stared in a stalemate, neither of us backing down, and yet something about his gaze made my stomach churn in a way that wasn't entirely sisterly.

He broke contact first, which I was thankful for, any more of that staring I knew I wouldn't have been able to hold myself from saying something I shouldn't have.
