Lesley had just finished eating with Kali at Luxies Plate. She decided to go back to the hospital and wait for her shift to start. It doesn’t matter if there are still a couple of hours left. Sitting in the lobby is much more bearable than waiting at home.

She checked her cellphone and saw dozens of missed calls and texts from Patrick. She was no longer surprised. She knew his habits, and he would not give up immediately. She sighed as she put her phone back in her bag. She needs to avoid him for now.
