A N N I V E R S A R Y

Cold breeze hit her face steadily as she inhaled the air heavily with a slow shrug, next second parting her lips and sighing it out deeply.

Here she was again.

Letting a dry chuckle escape her mouth while eyeing the sun setting down from her husband's expensive penthouse's balcony.
It was as if it is done with today, as if it is going to finally rest after shining brightly the whole day.

Diana's arms crossed as she rubbed them up and down in slow pace. Her hair flew with the flow of teasing cold wind, appreciating her presence yet again there.

She then finally curved her lips upwards in a light relieving smile. "Happy anniversary!" Diana whispered to herself as her eyes wore a small hint of sadness in them.

She gulped the exact next second feeling suddenly empty. Whom is she trying to fool?

He is the first man of her life and obviously going to be her last with whom she is going to spend her whole life with, being one lucky woman she is... she has everything without even demanding anything for twice.

Fairy tale love never existed.
White House, Prince Charming and all those delicate emotions...

Real life is a lot different than how mother's stories has always sounded.

He was always one firm personality. Hard to deal with words and difficult to control with actions.

At first it was understandable then it became bearable and at last it became one habit of Diana... to keep going with her rude husband.

The moment her lips stop curving in front of him, she always received a gift worth millions.
That's how he tries to cheer her up.

Whereas every other normal wife will receive kisses and affection from their husbands, all Diana ever got was expensive stuffs.
She was jealous.

Women in their world are always taught to be social and sharp. To match husband's taste and also class. Word love is foreign in their lives.
Wives are meant to act like husband's important half.

But it all turned out to be different.
She also had a dream to marry one day and own a family of love when she was just a teenager, foreign to her world Diana wanted a loving relationship with her husband. Not like her mother's or any other women in their alliance, she wanted to be loved.

Behind those rich huge curtains she wanted to giggle like a child in her husband's warm arms holding her tightly.

Those were indeed her good times of dreaming. Diana was just a kid with dreams way too good to be true cause at the end of the day she still belonged to the world where love is an unknown word.

She dreamt big with her eyes too small.

The only thing Diana concluded after all the endless debates in her head after her marriage with that man was how to improve herself for him. Is her life limited within these huge expensive mansion? In her husband's bed and his business parties?

Everything is still the same here. Nothing is changed.

This is where Diana first saw him and immediately felt intimidated with those cold sharp eyes of his. This is also where she was told by her father that she is marrying him the next week of their meet.
And this is also where both the pair come every year to celebrate their anniversary with all the rich audiences.

Pretty romantic right?

*knock* *knock*

A couple of knocks on her door disturbed her thoughts when she looked behind with her glossy blurry gaze.
Without her knowledge, she had some traces of tears on her eyes.

Erasing them immediately with her fingers she spoke in a soft voice, "Come in!"

The door soon opened with a cheerful personality, heels creating loud click clack sound as the person entered holding something.

"Congratulations on your 1st Anniversary, Madam!" Diana's server spoke with a cheerful giggle making her lips curve politely upwards.

Holding a long black gown on her hand, she settled the apparel on the mattress as Daina walked towards it slowly, developing a small frown of curiosity on her face while looking at the expensive gift.

"Master sent this specially for you, he said he would like to catch you wearing his choice tonight!"
The young server of Diana spoke with a squeal making madam's eyes widened for one second after hearing her.

"He also wanted to apologise for making you come here all alone. He said he was busy in few meetings with his Asian clients and will be here in 2 hours, he is expecting you to be ready for him before his arrival."
Spoke the 17 year old Hellen, the happy server.

All these things Diana's heart lowkey expected him to say, rather he decided to deliver the messages.

Her heart broke silently looking at the gorgeous apparel he sent for her. It's been a week since she saw him...

"Master is so considerate!" Hellen added gaining Diana's eyes. Slowly nodding her head to the maid's statement with her unwell mind, Diana's heart saddened.

Meanwhile

His ocean like dark brown eyes were darted on his weapons with authority.
Hundreds of weapons weighing heavy kilos were loaded in his private jet.

Holding one in his hand he inspected it with his sharp dark eyes. Weapons like these worth millions as he always treated them as his toys.
On his way to his destination he was still busy while dealing with these stuffs.

"Can we calm down a damn bit brother!"
A voice behind him creeped the silent surrounding as a presence added inside his personal space.

Master Andrew didn't flinch.

A boy in his early 21 approached him while holding 2 glasses of expensive wine in his hands. Soon raising one up towards master Andrew.

Throwing the weapon on the large case after a moment of detailing them, master Andrew finally accepted the glass, while looking at the fellow who was also his younger brother with an unbothered blank gaze.

"You have worked a lot brother Andrew, now take some rest at least!"
Christopher spoke before granting his seat calmly.

Master Andrew slowly walked towards his seat too. Settling on one, he gulped the wine with blank expressions before leaning his back on it comfortably.

Sighing out he looked upwards, remaining silent for a dominant moment while enjoying the taste of the bitter rich alcohol in his tongue.

"There's no rest in the world we breathe in." Master Andrew's sudden phrase sounding deep perked up Christopher's attention.

"We are born to rule and one who rules has to work for his name. No name no power, no power no us!"
Younger brother soon chuckled while shaking his head on Master's bold statement.

So heartless was he!

Master Andrew has always been one tough personality to deal with. Even with his family members he rarely shows any moment of affection.

He really is a stone.

Calming down then Christopher stared at his rude elder brother for a couple of moments, trying to at least read him a bit.

One never knows what goes on inside the almighty Master Andrew's head.
And he was the one.

His eyes became blank after a moment.
"What is the use of this power when I cannot even live the way I want brother?"

The atmosphere suddenly became heavy after younger brother's unpredictable gloomy statement holding deep meaning.

Master knew too well that his younger brother was a wild personality but still with a heart of a child. He knew Christopher was weak, not physically but rather emotionally.

Christopher seemingly never had any options in his life. Master Andrew never provided him any.

He is born to be like that.
He is born in a different world and there's no way out of this.

A world where love makes one weak, there's absolutely no way master would allow his younger dear brother to be weak.

Master Andrew was a strict guardian to Christopher and he had his valid reason for it.

"No one was born with a golden spoon in mouth like you did Chris. You are whatever because you are born and brought up in a family where servants call you master without even questioning a word about you deserving the title or not. Respect the respects."

Master Andrew spoke without even looking at his younger brother who was now eyeing him hurtfully.
He was too rudely straight forward.

Coming from the one who doesn't even flinch while shooting people mercilessly, who makes a kill and never regrets Christopher highkey expected those words from him.
But still a hint of mercy he was expecting from him, he was his beloved younger brother after all.

"But brother Andrew-..."

"You ain't even asked to do much except of hiding behind my lead. I have no complains for you Chris but one, eliminate that stupid dream of yours. A girl who dances in the club cannot be your bride, I won't allow it!"

Master Andrew said firmly as only silence responded in return. His hold on the wine glass was so tight almost in the grip of breaking it.

That's when Christopher realised that his words were angering his elder brother who despises when people disrespects him or talks back to him.

Christopher's eyes had silent glossiness as he blinked them away immediately. "Happy anniversary brother!"

With his head low he gave up on his tries.
Congratulating master Andrew, he then stood up from his seat before walking away from him quietly.

At Night

The faint scent of graceful white rich roses with a hint of sweet vanilla.
She smelt gorgeous and looked the same.

"My lord, Madam you look stunningly gorgeous in this dress."
The black gown reaching the shining floor adding more points to her elegance.

Off shoulder cut gave a beautiful view of her long neck and exposed some of her cleavage charmingly.

Her hair hung loose, curled behind as she eyed her reflection on the huge mirror.
Hellen the cheerful server, eyed her with absolute stun.

Catching her eyes, Diana reached for her drawer in her dressing table. Opening it, she took out a golden bracelet from her jewel set before eyeing her little maid's reflection with a warm smile.

Whereas her eyes sparkled eyeing Diana holding a beautiful golden bracelet.

"Here, this is for you!" Said Diana while handling her the jewel carefully.

Hellen's widened eyes hinted only shock at Diana's action as she smiled instantly the next second. "Thank you Miss, thank you so much!"

Hellen said hugging her in excitement.
Being a young server she was very sharp yet emotional, Diana's world was a lot different from hers.

After marriage Hellen was a gifted server by her family.

It came from her home, rich people walk with people around helping and serving them.
Hellen was the one who tagged along with Diana since the day she was wedded with Master Andrew, one of the richest mafia of Europe.

Hellen was merely a 16 years old girl when she learned her life belonged to Diana.
She was her master.

Hence she also created an emotional bond with her.

Parting away from the hug she giggled. "I guess I ruined your charm a bit, Madam!"

"No worries!" Diana spoke kindly as she chuckled at her worthless worry.

"Come on it's the time to meet master! He is waiting for you!"
Squealing, Hellen said gaining a unwell nod from Diana.

Walking down the hallways of their penthouse she was having a lot in her mind.
After days she is finally going to see him. It was the unsaid nervousness in her heart to see him again.

Finally reaching the lobby her eyes fell on the very first man standing all, tall and tanned.
The aura he owned was just something no one can ever copy.

His eyes were deeply sharp yet bit tired. This was something only she can notice, living with him this 1 long year she knew quite well when he is tired and when not.

She learnt his every little detail in all these years.

It wasn't so hard for her to guess that master Andrew must have worked a lot and also because of sudden travelling, he is surely jet lagged.
But he knew how to cover them with his firm character.

Standing few steps away he was talking to one of his man with a hint of anger in his eyes.
Diana's heart thumped harder on the thought of him being in a bad mood as it was their 1st anniversary this night.

She isn't ready to make any ugly memory with him on this very day.
Master Andrew is definitely the scariest person when he is angry.

Walking towards him hesitantly with her server following behind silently, Diana gulped.

Master Andrew didn't notice her up until now but soon standing in front of him she finally gained his attention when he recognised her very familiar scent around him.

His talk halted as master Andrew moved his eyes on his wife standing only 2 steps away from him with her head hung low in silent nervousness?

His eyes didn't softened but surely calmed a bit. His head rose up a bit as master stared at his bride obviously welcoming her gorgeous presence.

Breath taking.

Moving his fingers up and down master gestured to erase else's presence from there while he kept busying himself still eyeing his bride in a whole manner.

Obeying, both the man and the young server bowed to him before leaving the two alone and quiet.

Master's eyes were scanning her with every rights and authority. The way his chosen apparel appreciated her hour glass figure was quite a view for the watcher.

After a moment of deadly silence his deep voice reached her ears.

"How have you been?"
Master Andrew asked while still watching her flawless face facing the earth, eyes were as usual down as she chewed her gorgeous red lips in nervousness.

Nothing went unnoticed from his eyes.

"I am fine!" Diana spoke with her unwavering voice earning a slow nod from him.

Strange, 1 long year of relationship still she was all shy to have a casual chat with him. Master Andrew always made her heart run a marathon and silently flutter without even doing much.

Hoping to hear some warm appreciating words in return Diana waited few seconds but it all only went on vain when he spoke again.

"Come on let's not wait the guests any longer!"
Master said with blankness before reaching for her waist and wrapping it with his right arm without any hesitation.

Not a hint of emotion was written on his features. Claiming his right on her yet again with no issues.

The sudden intimate contact after a couple of weeks from him caused Diana's body to react.
Blush creeped on her cheeks as she flustered silently.

Guiding her ahead, master had no expressions on. She finally rose her head to look at his handsome face from the side for some moments silently.

"You seem tired!"
She mumbled with her concerned airy tone.
Not expecting him to hear those words as madam Diana kept her eyes on him with both care and concern.

Though she was quiet but still those words were audible enough to reach master's ears.
Her waist was still on his capture as the two kept on walking, a light squeeze on her waist suddenly made her heart race uncontrollably.

"Don't bother."
Master's rude reply sounded deep, catching her off guard immediately.

Soon looking at her face, he caught her eyes staring at him red handed with still no emotions.

"Smile!"
Darkly demanding, master's tone held full rights.

It was so weird that how their both communication skills were the weakest as one couple yet they were able to know everything about one another without even talking much.

Since the day he wedded her, he always told her to smile.
Not for anybody else but only him.

The reason was still unknown to Diana's knowledge but she always obeyed his words like a good wife, just honour always stated.

Soon reaching the main hall of their large penthouse, all the guests were already present there waiting for the royal pair of tonight to appear.

She immediately drew a smile.

Loud cheers welcomed the both as they walked in gaining everyone's attention in no second.

Guests of tonight were the richest personalities, most belonged to the mafia and some were even famous celebrities and singers having connection with them.

The aura was way too expensive as they all raised their glasses to welcome the royal couple.

Glancing again at Master Andrew, he was the most handsome man in the party indeed.

"Happy anniversary my daughter!" After a minute of arrival madam Diana's parents approached them and congratulated while hugging them.

Andrew pulled Diana a little more closer as he greeted his in-law's presence back with still his dead expressions.
