M I N O R

After the greeting Diana's father and her uncle excused themselves with master Andrew to have some private space.
They looked like they wanted to discuss something confidential.

As Diana was left with her aunt and mother.

"How have you been both?"
Diana asked holding her mother's cold hand passing a dearly gaze to both the elders while smiling politely.

"We are good, it's just nowadays is little tiring. After Genelia got married, the mafia decided to fix Bella's wedding next. Your uncle took the responsibility!"

Sighing, mother stated as Diana frowned at the words.

Fernandez's had only two daughters to be concerned about marriage. Now even they got married, Diana being the oldest and Genelia being the youngest, both were wedded and settled down now.

Why would the mafia bother to take else's responsibility then?

Bella was their second cousin, not a part of Fernandez's mafia but her parents were allegedly said to get their daughter involved in alliances.

Bella's mother is the sister of Diana's and Genelia's fathers. She is the most dearest sister and hence in her request, the Fernandez's will take Bella's responsibilities. Things were pretty clear...

That Fernandez's are planning to get Bella wedded to create another alliance!

Bella was rumoured to own the most beautiful eyes in the dynasty and obviously any mafia would happily make a deal of her, strangely this was the least expected news for Diana in this day.

"But mother why Bella? She is only 16!"
Diana's voice sounded concerned.

"Dear, her mother is determined to get her wedded soon. Your father and uncle are going to even introduce her tonight, at the party!"
Genelia's mother responded with her calmest tone with obvious sadness as Diana's eyes enlarged.

Even if this thing is happening then it would be a total unfair decision for Bella.
At least in case of Genelia and Diana they were married in their legal ages!

"This cannot happen, we need stop this!"
Diana spoke as her both her mother's and aunt's eyes widened at her audacity.

There has always been a rule to regulate the brides before marriages, to make them learn etiquettes. The honour manners the females well for their husband.

Bella's life would be so harsh if she will be attacked so suddenly with all those harsh demands of honour.

Knowing how mafia treats women, Bella mustn't be having any good time at home.
Punishments for females were never easy.
Her father and uncle has always been the worst.

"Let me see her!" Diana said as she patted her mother's hand before trying to leave but her mother immediately held her hand, stopping her actions.

With her eyes slightly narrowed, she looked at Diana with an unbelievable gaze.

"Are you crazy? You'll walk out of your own anniversary party?" She spoke mumbling into her ear.

"She is only a child, she don't deserve this!"
Diana mumbled in concerned as then her aunt spoke.

"Genelia will be here with her husband by the dinner time, you guys can talk private then!"
She spoke as Diana's eyes softened.

"Honour is such a torture!"
Diana chuckled ending her words as soon then someone else jumped in their conversation gaining the attentions of the three females.

"Is my sister-in-law being bullied now?"
A deep yet playful voice was heard from the side.

Following the direction of voice Diana's sadness seem to flee away, lips turned into a delicate smile immediately after looking at his face after weeks, it's been a while since she last met him.

Christopher with his both hands shoved on his pockets eyed the two elder women and Diana holding each other's hand, seemed like having one serious discussion going on.

"Chris!"
Diana exclaimed with her eyes soft, catching the view of her brother-in-law standing few steps away from her.

Christopher smiled as a response before walking slowly towards them, showcasing his dimples.

Both the elder females retrieved their hands back immediately from her as Christopher soon now stood in front of them with a charming aura.

"Hello ladies!" He greeted both the elder women sweetly as they smiled at his gesture.

Soon his attention fell on Diana.

"You are looking breathtaking gorgeous tonight." Christopher complimented while grabbing her hand and kissing the back of it.

Diana chuckled at her little brother-in-law's casual flirt session.
He was always so playful.

Moving ahead they then hugged. "Congratulations for completing one damn year with my monster brother, sister-in-law!"

Christopher whispered on her right ear.

Strangely the two were the closest in the family. They owned a perfect relationship of brother and sister, one they always lacked on.

Rolling her eyes, Diana parted away from the hug as she slapped his shoulder playfully.
"Don't be a brat!"

Christopher chuckled in response as he looked around the party filled with rich and classy people.
Some were dancing and some were dining themselves now.

His eyes then again looked at the elder women with soft eyes.

"I would like to steal my sister-in-law for a dance ladies, would you mind?"
Questioned Christopher, as he smiled at the elders but only unamused chuckles escaped seconds after his statement.

He surely knew how to talk around women.
"We won't. You may, dear!"
Diana's mother permitted kindly before smiling sweetly.

Christopher without any thoughts then held Diana's hand as he guided her ahead.
"Don't tell me you, something is up. I ain't ready for surprises you know!"

He whispered as Diana shook her head while laughing silently at his choice of words. Foreign culture spoiled him a bit making his skills and tongue bold.

Walking on the dance floor Diana then settled her right hand on her little brother-in-law's shoulder as her left hand intertwined with his.

Dancing on the slow beat they both smiled.
"You must have been working pretty hard lately. I can see your dark circles!"

Diana spoke after a moment of calmness with her warm voice making Christopher's smile deepened.

Her concern always had a motherly touch which warmed his heart with no efforts. "Ain't my fault that your husband is a jerk!"

Christopher replied as he danced quietly after his said statement. Diana's smile dropped a little after hearing him.
Knowing master Andrew, she already assumed the meaning of his words.

Christopher Parker was only 21 and too young for the business.

Master Andrew was the only family he had and being the head, he empowered his brother to teach business and mafia.

That's what their culture says.
Christopher was learning business which included violence and it was seemingly very hard on him.

"You know he cares about you the most, all he got is you Chris!"
Diana spoke less but she absolutely meant her statement.

The young man spun her around once elegantly before again dancing slowly in the previous rhythm while drawing a smile.

"His care is no less than a torture for me!"
Christopher replied as his smiley eyes had a hint of hidden sadness in them.
Reading them Diana instantly knew what he meant.

Christopher was too young and wanted to be free.
He is in love.
An impossible love.

But there was more into it. She knew well that the one whom he loves doesn't belong to their world and hence, their relationship got disapproved by almighty master Andrew.

In this trip of 2 weeks surely something happened to make the young man this restless.
His smiles were fake, his actions were too pretentious.

She even saw her husband quite tensed.

"What happened Chris?"
Diana's soft worried voice reached his ears, rubbing his back as an encouragement Christopher looked at her face before dropping all his acts.

"A girl who dances in the club cannot be your bride, I won't allow it!"
Christopher repeated his elder brother's firm speech from the private jet back in here with his eyes red and shivering lips.

Strangely he was still smiling, smiling painfully.
A low airy gasp left Diana's mouth as she heard him, instantly knowing it was her rude dear husband's words.

He said those harsh things to his own younger brother?

Diana pitied the boy who was dancing with her. In their family of three, she was the only one who knew him the most.

She always made Christopher comfortable enough to open up with her.
Like a caring elder sister.

Nobody has control over their feelings nor love. Christopher would make a great example, one way he respected his elder brother to no limits and the other way he loved a woman who was nowhere near their class.
He was a strong man indeed.

It was quite understandable too from Diana's perspective, her husband was the one who put his whole life on raising Christopher up all alone after their parents's sudden expiration.

Master Andrew was barely 16 when all of the mafia businesses and properties fell on his small hands while Christopher was still hardly 8 year old child unknown to this world of harshness.

Christopher watched Andrew's blood and sweat always adding more points of respect for him.

The two brothers had each other ever since childhood. Master Andrew was like a parent to Christopher!

Where at one point Diana wasn't believing her husband's harsh words for his own younger brother, she also wasn't believing how painful the boy looked.
He looked like a withered rose behind his mask of happiness.

"I will talk to him." Diana uttered trying to cheer him up as only a couple of unamused chuckles left from his mouth.

"Why would you risk your good time with him? Even if you do try to approach him, there's no use of it. I know he won't change his committed words, he has made his mind up."
Christopher said eyeing her worried face with sadness.

"He despises her!" Adding it later on.

Diana sighed this time.

"Don't say those words for your own brother. He might be harsh and strict but he is very possessive of you Christopher. I will have a word with him about this, don't worry about it!"

She ensured in a caring tone as the younger boy genuinely smiled at her.

"You and your love for my monster brother, both are crazy!"
He chuckled at her playfully gaining a view of red tint spreading across her cheeks.

The way she would always defend his brother and tell him to act calmly with master Andrew is such a respect.
Normally women these days part families away but Diana always tried to make their bond more stronger.

She was indeed the right one for his brother.

A match made in heaven...
or nah?

She was the only woman in the family of two men, since the day his brother wedded her, Christopher became the happiest among all of them to welcome one new family member in their family.

Later, to his surprise she turned out to be someone he always wanted, Diana fulfilled his motherly desires.
In days he would feel, master Andrew to be a strict dad and her to be his mom comforting him and always cheering him up.

After a long day of all the shits he actually had someone's shoulder to lean on, that was his relationship with Diana.

He had a warm family at the end of the day. A brother who provided him everything in his life and a sister-in-law who cared for him so much.

"Now tell me. What caused your mood to be so sick? I smelled something was up with your ladies talk back there. Something serious?”

Suddenly curious Christopher asked about the scene earlier with her mother and aunt, as Diana only looked at the floor after hearing him asking about that.

Those things again made her mind uneasy.

"Bella, my second cousin. Father and uncle are going to introduce her tonight at the party!"

Diana pronounced with another sigh causing a frown on Christopher's face.

"So?"
He asked back.

Usually mafias do introduce women at big events like this for marriage purposes or create alliances, hence it made Christopher kind of feel confused to see Diana reacting all worried for a petty matter like that.

"She is a minor!"
