"He's leaving now, April. The car is here. At least see him off, please." Mrs Caddel pleaded through April's door.

"I'm busy Mom," April yelled back.

The others heard her from downstairs and Orion sighed. She had refused to come out since last night even while others were helping him pack up and making sure the little time they had left together was spent meaningfully.

It wasn't until midnight that Orion and Mr Caddel finally entered their respective rooms to sleep. The duo stayed up late outside the house, discussing. The man who has been a father to him for over eleven years was really hurting.

It felt like he was losing his son and he couldn't do anything about it but he had to stay strong for his family. Orion stayed up late with him and after their discussions, Mr Caddel felt lighter.

"She's probably just upset, don't feel offended. She will get over it," Mr Caddel said to Orion.

Of course April really wished to see him off but she was scared. She was scared of her mask slipping, she was scared of losing control. She didn't want anyone to see through her.

They stood outside, Orion's things were already in the car his father sent. Not that he had much luggage to begin with. Iver who was beside Orion suddenly turned to him and hugged him tightly for a few seconds, releasing him hesitantly.

Orion patted his back in a comforting manner. They had a heart to heart talk after Iver had stormed off yesterday and now, Iver wasn't upset anymore. Still sad that he's leaving but he wasn't holding any grudge anymore.

Mrs Caddel's eyes were watering again. Orion understood her without the need to say anything. He walked to her and hugged her tightly. Mrs Caddel was full on sobbing now, she couldn't control it.

"I told you there's no profit in raising boys, Mom. You realize what I'm saying now," April's spoke, coming out of the house with her hands folded against her chest.

Mrs Caddel stopped sobbing, releasing Orion as she wiped her tears. She was happy her daughter finally came out to see Orion off, she really didn't want him to leave without all of them being there to send him off.

"Why are your ey-"

"Iver." Orion cut him off, signaling him with his eyes to keep quiet.

Iver quickly got the hint and remain silent. Everyone saw it, April's swollen red eyes, an indication that she had probably been crying.

However, they chose to overlook it because she would just revert back into her shell if anyone points it out, she hates anything that makes her seem weak.

April hugged her mom's right arm.

"Don't worry Mom, I won't leave you," she said and Mrs Caddel laughed.

"You won't give your brother a hug?" Mrs Caddell persuaded.

"Who needs it?"

Orion grabbed her arm and pulled her into his chest, separating her from Mrs Caddel. He hugged her tightly. April's hand wrapped around his torso, her fingers clutching his shirt at the back.

"Don't suffocate me, let me go. I'm not a kid, go give Iver a hug or something. He probably needs it than I do, he is the crybaby," April said.

"You are the one clutching his shirt, April," Iver informed.

Indeed, Orion was only holding April loosely now, ready to let her go but she on the other hand, clutched unto him tightly.

"He's the one clinging to me. You need a new pair of eyes," April replied Iver, letting go of Orion.

"We need to go now so we can catch up with the flight, Mr King," the driver informed.

"Mr king?" April asked in confusion.

She seemed to be the only one confused, which is true. While she was cooped up in her room refusing to join the others, Orion discussed every detail of his situation with them.

"That's their family name," Iver cleared her confusion and she nodded.

"Bye. Thanks for everything." Orion said.

"Talking as if he would never come back," April muttered, rolling her eyes.

"Take good care of yourself, Orion." Mr Caddel said and Mrs Caddel nodded in agreement.

Orion looked at them all one last time, turned around and entered the car. He didn't look back at them till the car started moving and disappeared from their sight.

"April, are you crying?" Iver asked in shock.

"Why would I cry?!" She screamed at Iver as a tear fell from her face.

She turned around and ran inside the house, going straight for her room. She entered and locked her door, sliding down against it till she was seated on the floor. Her jaw trembled and she hiccuped.

The first tear ran down her face and the rest followed hurriedly, she cried silently. Her nose immediately became runny while her eyes stings.

She never planned on going to school that day anyway and none of her parents came to disturb her either.

The rest of the week went by with everyone trying to cope with their own feelings. They would gather for breakfast in the morning and ate in silence, same goes for dinner.

April didn't know that Orion's absence could ever be felt in their house if he left, considering the fact that he doesn't even interact with them like that and loved being on his own.

She was wrong, there was a huge difference. Starting from his empty chair during dinner, her having no one to be petty with, her father in front of the house working alone, Iver coming and going out of his room alone when she was used to seeing them going in together almost every night, there was indeed a huge difference.

After that week passed, they started trying to live normally again, learning to get accustomed to the fact that Orion had really left and once again, there were four members instead of five members in the family, just like eleven years ago, before he joined the Caddels.

It was Monday of the following week, April unexpectedly woke up early even without the alarm clock.

She was surprised when she checked the time and contemplate whether to sleep more or just go get ready for school and be an early bird.

She ended up getting off her bed to get ready for school. She could already perceive the aroma coming from the kitchen, an indication that her mother was cooking their breakfast already.

She did her hygiene and was going to do her makeup as usual. She doesn't do heavy make up but the red lipstick she uses always highlight whatever minimal makeup she applies.

April made the red lipstick her favorite when ever since she noticed that she gets the most compliments from people in her school when she has it on.

She opened her make up bag and raised her eyebrow when she found a folded paper right on top of her items.

She picked it and opened it.

Apparently, Carlene had somehow access the picture of Iver and her that has been displayed at the park's screen and she had posted with the caption: He is mine, but he doesn't know it yet, and she tagged him."Your sister is crazy," Iver said to Orion."Just reject her," Orion told him."I've done that.""You don't reject someone one moment and start kissing them the next," April threw in.Iver glared at both of them and continue tapping on his phone. April got a notification that Carlene followed her and then, the notifications just kept flowing in. "Woah! I forgot, she has more followers than Orion and I combined," Iver said."Yeah, she re-posted and now, my phone doesn't have a breathing space," April laughed.Orion coughed twice, continuously."Are you okay?" April asked, looking up from her phone."Yeah, just thirsty," he said and went out of the office, rushing into his room. He finally let go and the cough continued as he made his way into his bathroom. His chest ached as tin

April took his hands in hers. "Honestly, that was how I felt at first when you stopped pushing me away, but not anymore. I see how much you care about me and how much you wanted this, in your eyes, in your touch, in your actions and in your words."Orion exhaled. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like that at the begining, April. I really want this, I want 'us'. I realized I wouldn't have minded if Iver had seen that picture. I mean, everyone already knows except him, Mom and Dad. Do you know why I haven't officially asked you out? I didn't want a secret relationship, April."April's face lit up at his admission. He continued. "I want to be able to hold your hand in public, I want to be able to kiss you in public, I want to be able to call you mine in public. I want to tell them, April." She smiled. "Then, let's do that." "Are you sure?" "This is what I've always wanted, Orion. I'm as sure as I can be."He sighed in relief and April's hand went around his waist as she placed her head a

The screen was still displaying prior information. "How does the display works?" April quickly asked Blue, dragging her back, away from the others. It's just ten pictures for five seconds." Blue replied. "So, how on earth am I supposed to distract him for fifty seconds." "No, wait. They display the time first, then the picture. Do you have an idea about what time it was taken?" "No, how- wait." April quickly fetched out her phone, going to search for the picture they had taken together, she checked the time it was taken. "10:44." April read. "This was taken about a minute after." "Good, now we know it's between the span of 10:42 and 10:44," Blue calculated. The time for the very first picture was displayed and they breath out in relief. Everyone awed at the picture that came up after the time. It continued like that, with people awing at each picture. April kept counting the pictures, there were four more to go and that when the screen displayed 10:43. April's eyes widene

"What are you going to do?" "You expect me to stand here and watch them?" Orion asked, a bit irritated. In a distance, in front of them, was Iver and Carlene, kissing passionately. They didn't seem to be bothered with the fact that people were gathered around them and cheering them on either."No, I expect you to turn around and leave them alone," April gritted out."What? That's my sister!""So what? You are dating his sister too!" April exclaimed."We are......dating?" Orion frowned."Shut up, Orion. You know what I mean. Anyways, we've kissed twice too, haven't we?" "You. Kissed. Me." Orion made it clear."You said you liked it!" April glared at him."I do. I'm just making things clear." He made to move again and once again, April drew him back by his arm."What are going to do, punch him in the face?" "Yes." Orion replied without hesitation."For the record, your sister is the one chasing my brother. Just like I'm the one chasing you.""What?" "It's true. The most efforts is

"Whooooooo!!!" They could hear Blue's victorious scream as she hit Knox's bumper car with hers. Knox looked a bit upset, it seemed he has never done it before considering the fact he was failing miserably. Blue had challenged him to race with her and in his mind, it would be no different than a normal car, in fact it should be easier since he was an expert in rough-driving.He was wrong. They were at the amusement park. Once again Iver's suggestion, even though Orion is the one funding the trip. Collin had stayed behind, not in the mood to go to an amusement park. They had light breakfasts before leaving the house, courtesy of Knox who had woke up very early to go prepare it at her parent's.According to the arrangements they've made, Knox would be cooking them a fancy dinner too and her friends would be staying over. "I don't like her voice," Carlene said with distaste."Stop being bitter," Iver said."Blue's the most lively person I know," April sang as she walked away from the tw

They got home and April was going to go straight into her room but she wanted to check whether Iver was back. She had to ask him too to know whether he also has no idea that her birthday was tomorrow. Now, she would be really pissed if he didn't.She knocked on his door and he told her to come in. April was surprised when she entered and met Carlene sitting on the edge of his bed, an amused expression on her face. Iver was by his desk typing away on his laptop.Iver paused what he was doing, his gaze finding her. "Thank goodness you are here, April. Kindly get her out of my room, please." It almost looked like a desperate plea. He was referring to Carlene. "What are you doing here?" April asked, folding her hands against her chest.Carlene gave her a lopsided smile. "You really want to know?" "Not really. Anyways, my brother is busy and I have something to tell me that doesn't require your ears, so kindly leave the room for us, would you?"Carlene rolled her eyes. "You would need t
