Escape from hell

my Lord, this is the place where we're building the portal that'll lead to the human world. it'll be ready in about a month before the competition for the princess's hand in marriage starts, and that's what will make it perfect,.. "

two silver-horned demons were walking down a long charred path, following behind a handsome young man while acting subservient to this little man who was not even half their size.

the two demons belong to the same race of silver-horned bulls and they both look alike with a minute difference that'll be very hard to notice. they are currently in their humanoid forms. the only difference that can be noticed between these twin demons' bodies is that one of them has a wider bull-like nose than the other and the silver horns on his head are a little bit shorter than his brother's ( about two centimeters).

" Okay, you can work at your own pace but the portal must be completed before the competition and it must be a strong and stable portal that will be able to transverse between both worlds without an issue..."

"aaaahhhh!!! get behind me you damned creature I rebuke you in the name of... aaaahhhh!!!"

A high-pitched voice echoed from afar.

The young man was shocked by the sudden shout that came from nowhere in particular, since the place they're currently located is far from any city, town, or village. The young man's curiosity was not about how a human's soul voice could travel this far, but how he still have the energy to make that much noise after being subjected to the torturous torment.

" just another devout worshipper of the great one who got thrown here after burning his wife and her lover alive... We'll break him very soon my lord. "

Seeing the young man's raised eyebrows, the Twin's demons quickly explained the situation to him.

" oh! He's Samael's new trophy. " the young man said.

They walked through the charred path. This path was fenced by blazing red flame on both sides, barely large enough to contain two people standing side by side.

After walking for about twenty minutes, they got to open ground with a radius of about nine hundred meters. The land was also charred and it was surrounded by fire. It looked like a giant lollipop surrounded by flames.

Situated in the middle of this open ground is a large door, constructed with black bricks and some emerald gemstones were inlaid within the bricks making it look like a gate without support and fence. The inside of the door was hollow and filled with darkness.

Some green-skinned demons were currently working on something besides the giant door, it was a cup-shaped structure made of transparent, glasslike materials. It was linked to the large door through its base by some thread almost invincible white strings.

The construction workers were moving up and down, each devil at his designated post. A group of humans with tattered skins and malnourished bodies were forced to drag a block of crystal that was about one hundred meters long and ten meters high to a large machine where other people with rag-like bodies are waiting for them.

The seven-meter-tall devils leading these people didn't stop flogging them- not for a second despite the many deep gashes engraved on their backs. The other end of the Metal chains with which they were dragging the large crystal was rolled around their necks.

Maybe it was due to weariness or some other reasons, but one of them stopped dragging the block. She dropped the chain, bent down a bit, and placed both of her hands on her two knees, breathing heavily like a dehydrated dog. She didn’t get to regulate her breathing before the black chains around her neck glowed red and they began to tighten on her neck, almost sniffing her out of existence. Not until she picked up the chain and continue dragging the crystal ball did the chain loosen around her neck and the pain subsided.

The lesser demons upon sensing the arrival of the young man and the two bull demons, stopped all they are doing and quickly got on their knees and bowed to welcome them.

“ Welcome, your royal Highness.” The ten feet tall red devil overseeing the project knelt to greet the young man, without daring to raise his head.

“ you’re dismissed for now. The Lord came to check the progress of the work assigned to you. “ sidekick, one of the two bull demons commanded. Within one minute, the whole place became as silent as a graveyard as every one of them- the malnourished humans included- was nowhere to be found.

" the only thing that needs to be added to the portal is the coordinate and a means of recharging It since it'll consume a large amount of spiritual energy after each use. We are currently looking for ways to add an energy-gathering formation so that it would be a lot easier to operate my Lord. " Brevik, the broad-nosed demon explained.

" though the portal can be used for a one-way transport to the human world, it can only be used once before it breaks down." Brevik continued.

" do what you must, I want the work to be done before my daughter's wedding." the young man said while adjusting his robe.

" just don't let anyone else know of our pLan or this place except for the few of us... not even my family must hear of this until the work is complete. "

"yes, your majesty" both demons answered in unison.

After inspecting the work for some time, the young man beckoned for the two demons with his index finger and they moved closer to him before he start to say some inaudible words into their ears. immediately after speaking with the demons, the young man left the place with the two demons following behind him.

------------------------

immediately after the trio left the place, a pair of blue eyes opened in the darkness and a black humanoid figure walked out of the fiery flames surrounding the place. she looked around but didn't find anyone. except for the wailing sounds and the sound of something scratching the scorched road getting louder with each passing second.

he leaped up like a scared rabbit and ran to the newly erected portal. he fumbled with his magic bag for some seconds before taking out three black crystals the size of a grown man's fist. she placed the crystals in the crystal cup near the portal and mumbled some words under her breath. the gems inlaid on the door frame glowed with different colors before the pitch-black portal glowed red and the ebony beauty jumped inside without looking back.
