Chapter 11

Raven's Point of View

"What happened to your eyes? Looks like many things bothered your mind last night." Mom pushed her chair and tried to reach for my forehead, but I shoved it and continued to eat the food in front of me.

Mom held her hand and said with a worried tone, "If you're still mad at me---that's fine. Enjoy your breakfast."

I didn't say anything back and drank the milk that she made for me. I felt guilty for the thought that she woke up to do these things for me, but I didn't want to think about that and went ahead to the shower and then dressed.

I look at Mom's bedroom door and let out a sigh.

I said in a whispered tone, "See you later---mom."

Raven came earlier than she thought and decided to wait for the time in the employee space inside their headquarters.

Raven looked at the pictures on her phone while she waited for her shift, and she realized that she had never been out to date herself for a long time.
