Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Raven looked at the man who was now at the back of her and glared at him. She knew that he went in different ways but now he was in front of her, and she confirmed that he was indeed stalking her.

"I know what you need," The man asked Raven, and she looked at him confused.

"Is this some type of scam?" She asked herself.

Raven's heartbeat started to raise, and she  looked around, "The sun is up, and there's a lot of people walking on each side of me, so why is he being a creep?" Raven was so scared and yet confused looking at the man in front of her.

"I don't talk to strangers," Raven said, then plugged her ear with her earphone, and continued to walk away from the creepy man.

The man grabbed Raven's right arm and said, "I'm sure I know what you needed. Lend me your time--"

The man stopped when a lady barged in and asked him, "Excuse me? Do you know him?"

Raven was shocked and saw that they were already making a commotion and shouted, "I don't know him! Please, help me deal with him. I'm late for my work!"

The lady pushed Raven slightly and said, "No worries, and you're welcome. Now go!"

The man looked at Raven getting away and took a step forward but, the woman blocked him, and the man just clicked his tongue as Raven was getting away.

Raven walked fast, and not a single hand grabbed her. She decided to look back and saw that the guy was still surrounded by people and she walked freely.

"Let's do this!" She shouted on the back of her head and took a step pretty determined to get a job.

----

Raven knew that her country supported a program that, even if you're a high school graduate only, you'll be able to get a decent job just like a cashier, crew, or everything suitable for your background.

She sat on the chair at the bus stop and drank her water bottle at the very last dropped. Raven knew that the place she grew up wasn't unfair to a teenager like her, but she suddenly felt she wouldn't get a job today.

Raven heard a lot of "we do not accept," "we already have someone for the job," and even "we don't accept high school graduate workers." when she asked if she could apply for their said jobs.

The faith Raven trusted and the hope she trusts herself began to disappear and decided to take a bus.

She did nothing and said to herself, "I'm just unlucky today. I should try again tomorrow."

Raven didn't realize she rode a bus that was going in the wrong direction when a big building caught her attention.

The bus coincidentally stopped right in front of the building that had big writing that says, "B. Group."

"If you're looking for a job, you should give it a shot at that company. They are very welcoming." A lady said who was sitting right next to Raven

Raven's eyes sparkled with excitement. She asked the lady, "Are you sure--- Err, I'm sorry just---excited!"

"Do they accept employees who only finished high school?" Raven added while rising that little hope left for her.

The lady just nodded and was about to say something when Raven felt the bus was about to go, Raven pressed the button, and the bus once again stopped for her.

Unconsciously, she walked towards the door and decided to look around, and when she entered the hall, Raven couldn't stop staring at the building she entered.

Raven was amazed at the size and beauty of this building and decided to go to the front desk. When she reached the counter there was a lady who smiled lightly and said, "Do you have an appointment Miss? Or you're here to apply for a job?"

Raven's eyes sparkled as she felt respect that she hadn't felt before and said to herself, "This is it, Raven!"

Raven smiled widely. "Applying for a job, Miss. Any position is okay with me." Raven said with excitement.

The lady's smile suddenly turned bitter after she scanned Raven's resume, and Raven noticed it immediately and was confused, "Is it because of my resume?" she asked herself.

The lady smiled which didn't reach her eyes, and said, "Miss, it's currently lunchtime. You can go out first and come back later."

Raven didn't say any words and see herself out. She didn't ask anymore because they might change their minds. Raven looked back and didn't notice that she bumped into someone.

Raven's vision looked like a camera that was thrown harshly. She had to close her eyes and felt that she was floating.

"Ahm, Miss can you stand up?" A magnetic deep voice woke Raven, and when she opened her eyes, their eyes met, and with a blink, Raven's legs began to tremble.

The man's face looked like it came out of a comic book looked perfect with his broad shoulder, perfect jaw line, sharp eyes, and matched with perfect brows, eyes, and thin lips.

But what caught Raven's eyes was the piercing on his ear that brought endless to his beauty, "Sheesh," Raven said out loud, and the guy smirked coldly and said, "Miss?"

When that was said, Raven's daydreaming cracked, and she stood up while fixing her clothes and said, "Thank you and---I'm sorry."

The man passed by her, and Raven followed him until he went inside the elevator.

Raven went out of the building with a flushed face and went to stay on the narrow path beside the building.

Raven decided to close her eyes because of the thrill she was feeling.

"My god is he for real?!" Raven screamed, and she opened her eyes and was shocked

She was suddenly surrounded by multiple guys with a smirk on their faces. Raven's tingling feeling was replaced by nervousness and didn't get the chance to react when she was suddenly held and fell asleep unconsciously.

---

Raven woke up looking at a beautiful office and saw a cloud of smoke coming from a chair its back was facing her.

She tried to move but noticed that her hand were tied and said, "Who are you? Please let me go. I have to go back to something!"

Raven looked pathetic for what she said but, she badly needed that job because she didn't want what was happening in her life anymore. Raven was about to shout again when the chair turned, and Raven gritted her teeth.

"You! You're not satisfied with giving me chills?! What do you need?" Raven shouted

The man on the chair was the guy who's been following her, and as soon as he reached Raven who was tied, he said, "What you need is work, right? I'll give you one, Raven."

Raven began to tremble as this man remained unknown but was surprised that the man's face that caught her before she could fall earlier, flashed on her mind that he might save her...
