Chapter 17

The long night has come to an end, and after talking with one another, Raven fell asleep and didn't take notice until her alarm turned on.

Raven got up at 8 am, and she paused in her tracks as she saw her mother in the kitchen cooking breakfast. Raven didn't know what to say, she was happy about it, but she was kind of hurt as well.

"Oh! You're awake, come and join me. I made breakfast." Wilma said on her apron and a spatula.

Raven didn't bother stopping her steps to turn her face and greet her.

Wilma with a worried look placed the sausages and fried eggs on the table, "I'll let you eat first, you have a job to attend to after all." she said as she removed the apron and placed it on the side of the refrigerator.

Raven heard the door click and sat on the chair, she looked at the table with trembling hands and held the spoon and fork. Her eyes trembled and took the first bite that she missed after everything that had happened to her mother.
