Chapter 3

Raven looked at the guy that was facing her now and was sitting at the table in front of her. "What do you want from me Mr--?"

The man smirked and laughed. "Stephan dropped the Mr. you shouldn't give manners to the one who kidnapped you."

Raven just looked at him and the design of the room. It looked like she was in an office room, the reason for her not to be afraid, "You don't give me enough fright for me not to respect you, but why am I here Sir?" Raven said bravely.

Behind her chair, it was visible that her hands were shaking, and she couldn't stop it. Raven looked around, she couldn't define where she was because there are no windows, and she didn't know what time it was because there were many lights open that serve as a light in this room. Raven felt so cold. The reason for her to stay out of focus, and looked at Stephan who was drinking alcohol.

"Whiskey?" he offered to Raven, and the girl just looked at him.

"I don't give you enough fright. Then there must be incredibly wrong with you. You don't know where you are, and yet you said that you're not scared?" the guy frowned as he looked at Raven who was looking at him.

Stephan started to walk around her chair, and Raven could confirm that this time she was frightened by this unknown man.

"W-what do you want?" Raven asked, her voice hoarse from nervousness

Stephan smiled at her, and Raven felt her heart skip a beat. Usually, kidnappers looked smelly and even old men with no figure, but the guy in front of her was not like that. He was even hot but not as hot as the guy earlier.

"Ah--a very straightforward girl. I like that!" After Stephan said this, he finished the alcohol and threw the broken glass on the wall causing a massive noise that echoed in the small room.

Raven began to shiver and looked at Stephan while he unbuttoned his two buttons, folded the sleeves of his polo shirt up to his elbows, and said, "You apply for a job at B.Group, right?"

Raven just looked at him, and Stephan said, "I want you to do something for me--"

She scoffed and said, "Who are you? Besides, why would I do what you want? I don't even know you!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Stephan laughed like a madman making Raven's brows meet and slowly removing the tie on her hands

"Is this man insane?" She thought to herself

"Let me finish what I'm going to say. We both know that no one would do something without anything in return," Stephan said while walking back to his table.

Raven got the hang of it and removed the tie on her hand, and pretended that her hand was still tied.

She followed Stephan who was now back with a silver suitcase, she was watching his every move, and Stephan sat in front of her and placed the suitcase on the little table between them. He opened it, and then the silver box faced Raven.

Raven's eyes widen, and her hand went up to her mouth revealing that her hands weren't tied anymore.

Stephan laughed and said, "This is $1,000,000, for that little favor I want you to do for me."

Raven gulped as she looked at the money in front of her. Then shifted her gaze at the guy in front of her, feeling unsure.

----

"Miss, you're back! Please wait for a moment---someone will pick you up." The lady at the front desk said

Raven was now inside the B.Group building waiting for the said man that the person in front of her said.

Raven saw that a lady approached her and said, "Follow me, Miss Volten."

Raven followed the lady to a room that looked like an office.

After Raven sat on the chair, the lady asked her. "What position are you applying for?"

Raven gulped and said, "cleaner."

The woman was shocked and said, "Are you sure? With your background, you can work to be an editor for the wrong transaction. Are you---?"

Raven closed her eyes, held her trembling knee tightly, and said emotionlessly, "yes, I'm sure Miss."

[Flashback]

Raven gulped and looked at the money in front of her and then the guy in front of her, but she was shocked when the man's gentle appearance suddenly changed, and there was a gun pointed at her.

Raven almost peed in her pants as she looked at the gun that was pointed at her head.

Stephan smirked and said, "What I want is easy. You need to work as a janitress at B.Group."

"Let me finish what I had to say before you say anything else if you don't want your head to explode."

Stephan scratched his chin using the rifle's mouth. Raven watched him close and flinched when he aimed at her forehead again.

"With that background of yours, I know. They won't pick a cleaner for you to work for, but force yourself to make it that way and choose post 27. That is where it starts---what I want you to do."

Raven was listening, but her attention was divided between the man in front of her with a lot of money as well as the gun pointed at her head.

Raven's face looked brave, but her eyes showed the truth as they already had tears, and she waited patiently. She wasn't tied, but she felt like she was still tied and couldn't move.

"I want you to send me everything that the CEO of B.Group was hiding so you will be working as a cleaner. I only needed five things that you will find for this money to be yours, but if you don't succeed. There will be something in return." Stephan said as he brushed her strand of hair away from her face and added, "How's your mother? I'm sure she's doing fine."

Raven's eyes widen, and said, "Don't you dare involve her in this!"

"It depends on your actions Raven, so choose wisely."

[End of flashback]

Raven was released after she signed a contract with Stephan. With a blindfold on. Raven was brought back to where she was taken.

The lady named Cohen looked worried for Raven and said, "Okay, I'll assign you at the very top."

"Post. 27."

Raven just nodded and sighed heavily. She didn't know what she would feel and followed Cohen to teach her what to do when you would be the one cleaning on the last floor

Cohen opened the door and said, "Sir. Borja, secretary Stephan. I'm here to tour Miss. Volten. She is your new cleaner."

Raven was shocked to see who's this Mr. Borja, and the guy beside him was Stephan who winked at her.

"Right, the owner of this company was him..."

Raven looked closely to see that the awesome earpiece was gone from the CEO's ear, and her gaze shifted to the man beside him, Stephan.

"What is it that you will gain in this Stephan?" Raven said to herself.

And that was the first day.

Were I met Terrance Ryle Borja, the one whom I'll expose was the man whom I had slight feelings for...
