Alex’s pov

My father slid a document over to me as he pointed to it with a shrug.

“My terms are there,” he said. “Read through and tell me what you think.”

I looked at it and sighed. “Dad, you can’t be serious.”

“Go through it,” he said. “Before I put you back as the acting CEO, I need to know you can follow rules and can be trusted. I don’t see what the problem is. This should be a piece of cake, don’t you think?”

I opened the document and found that it was a contract with terms I must meet before becoming CEO and taking over the company when he finally stepped back.

“Jesus, I can’t believe this dad,” I said to myself “Are you fucking kidding me?”

“Language.”

“I don’t care about that. What is all this? You really can’t trust me huh. Even when I’m married you still are not ready to hand this company over to me. What would it take for you to even see me as a person to trust?”

“All you need to do is sign the damn document Alex. Why are you going over the top with all of this?”
