Chapter 2 :: The CEO

Alyssa twirled a long strand of her crimson locks around her index finger on her dominant hand, watching the gigolo exit her luxurious hotel room.

She was sure that he would be back soon, she thought with an arrogant smile as she observed her naked figure in the mirror of the bathroom.

Yesterday night turned out to be more gratifying than she had thought, even if it was her first time. She had made use of his well-honed skills. In fact, it had even unleashed the Kraken inside her.

But why did she feel something was a bit odd with this man? When he had left, it gave her an uneasy sensation. It was like something was missing from her. She had even sensed her own wetness in his presence, which she loathed.

She, Alyssa Dawson, would never need a man. She was better off depending on herself than ever yearning for a man to satisfy her desires, be it her thirst for power or relief from the sexual deprivation in her all these years. It didn’t matter now. She was the CEO of her own company and since she had got that gigolo to free her of her virginity, she was free to pleasure herself any way she wanted.

Yet, she felt a strong urge to push him down and get him inside her that split second before he left. They could have it right on the sofa as quickly as possible.

She slapped herself on the temple.

[Alyssa, what nonsense are you thinking? He is just a gigolo. You will come across more men, all who you are free to enjoy as you wish. After all, you don’t want commitments.]

All gigolos wanted the same thing, and that was money. She peered at the blood-red stains on the formerly pure white sheets of the five-star hotel, hoping they would wash off easily. She definitely didn’t want any curious stares from room service. But at most, they would just laugh it off. Who came to a five-star hotel to pop her cherry?

She had even checked in with a false name. Ari Donna. She had an expert create her a fake ID. The benefits of money were limitless, although there were things money just couldn’t buy. They couldn’t buy back the tragedy that befell her pack more than a decade ago.

Everytime she recalled the dying words of her father, tears would roll down her face uncontrollably. It didn’t matter how long time had gone by; nothing but revenge would heal her emotional scars.

She closed her eyes and distracted herself by thinking of the wild sex she had with the gigolo. She remembered his muscular arms around her, taking her in every possible manner, with stamina that never seemed to die out. His violent thrusts made her scream and moan like she never ever had before. With each loud sound that left her mouth, his strokes just got stronger, satisfying her even more internally.

Her wolf senses took over after that. Though she lost control of herself after that, she did remember how they had erupted together in the darkness. Everything other than that seemed a deep blur.

With how it played out that night according to her plan, she was firm that nobody would ever find out what she had done. For a successful woman and CEO to hire the services of a gigolo sounded so absurd. Few would even find it immoral. She didn’t care. Anyway, who would even recognise her in that dump? Especially when everyone saw her with a dark wig and glasses that made her look like a librarian in the nineteenth century.

She might as well enjoy what was left of her hotel stay, she figured, picking up a newspaper and flipping the pages.

A printed photograph of a man standing next to a virtual reality console caught her eye.

Sirius White. The wolf in her snarled ferociously. No words could ever describe the hatred she had for the man. He was her competitor in the information technology sector, always getting to a new innovation before she did. No matter how she tried, she was always second.

But because she didn’t just deal with information technology and diversified in different industries, she was a much wealthier CEO than Sirius. Her only hope was for him to just disintegrate into the void, saving her and a lot of people from the torment of having to share the same oxygen with him in the atmosphere. If only she could wish him gone, she would have!

In her fury, claws manifested from the tips of her fingers, shredding the newspaper to bits. Even after she had turned them into paper debris, she still clawed the strips of paper furiously.

Not long after that, she had turned the room into a complete avalanche. She restrained herself from ripping apart the room from end to end.

[You can’t let anyone know who you are, Alyssa Dawson. Your father did what he could in order for you to survive. You can’t let his sacrifice be in vain.]

She knew it was her wolf, Aria talking and calmed herself down with the breathing exercises her psychologist Rhea had taught her. Aria was right. If she gave herself away, it would only land her in serious trouble. She had to lay low for now, until she had her vengeance.

Fortunately, the mess in the room could be fixed easily, without any suspicions from the room service team.

Once that was settled, she switched on her laptop to check on the online stock market. Stock trading was a risk that everyone sought to dive into, but with greater risk came greater profits. She had read and researched everything in conjunction with stocks to prepare herself before she delved into the trade.

Everything looked fine when she logged in and did a few refreshes to see how the stocks she bought were faring in real-time. It wasn’t time for her to let go of the stocks yet, so she just logged out again and closed the webpage.

Minutes later, her phone beeped. It wasn’t surprising to her that a weirdly saved contact had sent her a text. Most of the time, she would just delete garbled spam messages, but the contents of the text startled her.

“Madam, I have a little surprise for you.”

She fathomed that when someone texted you out of the blue with the ‘kind’ thought of giving her a surprise, it wasn’t any normal surprise. It would be something horrific to even think about.

Nat was the sender of the message. She pondered about what he could do to make her fear him and responded to him with an automated reply.

Nat replied with a few indecent photos. She realised they were screenshots from a video. The first screenshot exhibited her nude body and left nothing to the imagination, since every part of her could be clearly seen. Her red hair dangled sexily around her shoulders, barely shielding her twin mounds.

The other screenshot revealed her with her mouth open, clawing at the man while on top of him. Her heart skipped a beat when she zoomed into the image. While her scars from the aftermath of the tragedy had faded well and were barely noticeable, her action of clawing the man wasn’t. This could bring forth major suspicion from rivals who weren’t aware of her existence.

The other packs of the world. Those who sought to exterminate her as the last of the Crimsoncrest pack and others that had few living survivors.

She had to prevent all that. The man just asked for a small price for the video.

Soon, that foolish human would know what was the hefty price he had to pay for threatening her.
