   Daniel closed his laptop with a sigh. He leaned back on his chair with his hands folded behind his head. His gaze was fixated on his door half expecting Red to walk in ungracefully with a teasing smile on her lips and tinkling blue eyes filled with mischief.

He knew that wasn't going to happen. Him expecting her to walk through that door like before. He had let her go out of anger and now he deeply regretted it.

It's been days, weeks and months since he last saw Red. He hadn't seen the woman he loved for a very long time. He hadn't seen her long luscious red hair that shone brightly, he hadn't gazed into her blue eyes in a long time. Her voice was foreign to him now as he hadn't heard it in a long time.
