2. Wedding Day

Livy just kept silent while her face was made up by the makeup artist. She really couldn't move when, early in the morning, a woman woke her up to get ready to go to church for the wedding blessing.

"Please dress her up so that her true face is unrecognizable. Make her as beautiful as possible because I don't want my son to marry an ugly woman." That was the message from Mrs. Deshia Hamington to the make-up artist who was currently doing Livy's face.

"Mrs. Deshia, why did Mr. Artha remarry? Isn't his relationship with his wife very harmonious?" The question from the make-up artist was able to make Deshia glare at her.

"What right do you have to interfere in my son's household matters? Your job here is only to make up for her, not to ask anything about Artha's household." Deshia answered in a high tone.

The makeup woman immediately let go of her grip on the makeup brush. She turned to face Deshia, then she bowed her body while apologizing repeatedly as if she had made a big mistake. Yet, according to Livy, there is nothing wrong with questions from the makeup artist.

"Sorry, Miss. I don't mean to interfere in anyone's household matters here. I'm just purely asking to lighten the mood."

"Enough! Don't talk too much! Just do your job properly, or I'll make you lose your job this very second."

The bedroom door was closed with a bang by Deshia, leaving Livy alone with the make-up artist, whose hands were trembling with fear.

Livy wanted to ask the makeup artist something about Artha's family. However, after seeing what happened earlier, Livy discouraged her. One thing she knows is that Deshia is a temperamental woman whose emotions are easily provoked. Too bad Livy had to have in-laws like her.

Ah, but that's okay. Livy just needs to do her job properly; after that, she can be free and go back to living life as before.

A hard slap landed on Livy's cheek just after she left the church with Artha. The wedding vows have been pronounced, meaning that Livy and Artha have officially become husband and wife. However, instead of congratulations, she got a hard slap that made her cheek hurt.

"You're bitch!!" Livy immediately held her sore cheek after receiving the slap earlier.

"What do you mean?" Livy is angry. What is this? Who was the woman who dared to call her a bitch?

"Baby, calm yourself." Artha immediately embraced her. From this alone, Livy could already guess that the woman who had just slapped her hard was the wife of Artha, his first wife.

"I can't calm down!" Why do you have the heart to do this to me? Why did you marry a bitch? Have you gotten her pregnant? Answer me, Artha!"

Livy just kept silent, watching Artha try to calm his wife. She thought her cheeks would be the target again after this, but it turns out that her hand had already been pulled to get into the car by Deshia.

Livy did not understand this situation. Last night, Artha explained that he married Livy so he could have a child who would later be recognized as his son with his first wife. However, after the blessing at the church, his first wife came and cursed Livy. Is this just a drama, or does his first wife not know that Artha is remarrying?

"That woman earlier was Agatha, Agatha Fara Hamington. She was Artha's wife." Deshia opened her voice after the car carrying the two of them drove out of the church area.

"I'm sorry, but why is Mrs. Agatha angry with me? Doesn't she already know about all this?" Livy ventured to ask.

"Agatha doesn't know yet. So, don't talk too much, let alone argue back after this. Just do what Artha tells you to do." Deshia answered without looking at Livy's face.

"But will I be in the same house with Mrs. Agatha later?" Livy's question made Deshia, who was originally staring at the cellphone screen, now look at her face with a sharp gaze.

"You're just a paid woman that Artha got from the black market. Don't think that you can occupy the same place as Agatha. I won't allow it, and of course, Agatha also won't want to live in the house with a cheap woman like you."

The piercing sentence from Deshia was enough to make Livy speechless. For God's sake, she didn't want to ask Deshia anything more. This temperamental woman seems to have high blood pressure, so her hobby is getting angry.

Arriving at home, Livy was asked to immediately remove the makeup from her face and change her clothes, which were originally dresses, into shirts. After waiting in the living room for almost an hour, Artha finally came with Agatha.

Agatha still looked at Livy as if she were a criminal. Even though Livy was just an ordinary woman who was addicted to selling her body on the black market so she could pay off her father's huge debt, Maybe this is the risk of her ridiculous decision. On the bright side, Livy only needed to give up her body for one man, not as many men as Deborah had said that night.

"Livy, this is my wife, Agatha." Artha opened his voice while embracing Agatha's shoulder.

Livy nodded with a smile. She held out her hand in front of Agatha, but she didn't shake it. With an awkward smile, Livy pulled back her hand.

Deshia had gone home, and it seemed that the woman deliberately made room for Artha and his two wives to talk in three. If at first, Livy thought that Deshia was the most annoying person here, she was wrong. Due to this fact, Agatha is far more annoying than her mother-in-law.

"Baby, introduce. She is Livy, the woman I told you about."

Agatha was still staring at Livy intently. In a low tone of voice, Agatha spoke, "Divorce her."
