Chapter Five.

Sofia.

My veins popped out in shock, Alexander stood in front, hand  held tightly both of them in matching outfit, her heels complementing his suit.

She smiled at me, a wicked smile, a smile a predator winks at it prey before devouring it.

“Alex_”. I scoffed, my gaze fixed.

Why was she here?

Why was she exchanging pleasantries with my staff?

“Sofia, I'm sorry am late”

“Shall we begin”. Alexander said unapologetically, like I didn't deserve an apology or an explanation to why she was in my father's company at this crucial time.

“Begin what?”. I blurtter, feeling disgusted at their presence.

The staffs whispering, exchanging confused gaze.

“This meeting is over, you meet me in my office”. I dismissed them, before they could raise from there seat.

“Hold it”. Alexexander muttered.

Alexander rang the bell, signaling he still had something to say.

“Well as you all know, my wife here as transferee ownership legally to me as the acting CEO, henceforth you all will obey my orders he paused for it to sink down his brows raised “And the woman on my right will be the MD”. Alexander concluded urging the staffs to clap amidst the conclusion.

Why was he doing this?

I hadn't found out so much yet, only for him to bring her to my face.

Alexs der dismissed the staff, I sat still, my legs crossed, my face narrowed, boiling in anger.

The conference room was left empty with just the three of us in it.

“Alex what is this supposed to mean” I snapped hitting my hand on the table to indicate chaos.

“Calm down baby, it is for the best, Tonia here studied accounting and _”

“She can go to hell for all I care, I am supposed to remain the MD”. My hands raised trying to make him remember who I was.

This is literally my father's company, I call the shot.

“Sofia darling, I mean no harm dear”. Tonia tried to come close, I pushed her and she staggered, she was supposed to bang her head on the walll but luckily Alexander caught her.

“Nusiance”. I scoffed.

Alexander looked away, his anger boiling, I just messed with his heart rob. I was going to push him to his limit, I wont sit back and be swept under the carpet.

“Sofia”Alexender called calmly trying to mange his anger, with Tonia hitting her lips hard and casting hateful gaze at me.

Oh so I was no longer called my wife, the woman of my dream, my sheyla?

What was I expecting though?

I saw the red flags but I ignored them saying love conquered everything.

“Sofia it takes you nothing to be nice”. Alexander muttered, he left Tonia hand walked close to me and tried to hold me but I pushed him.

I pushed him twice as hard as I pushed Tonia but he didn't flinch.

He just stood there.

Like a rock being pushed my a child.

“Nice you say” . I scoffed under my breath.

“You think I don't know right?”

“You think I don't see the games you both have been playing?”

“Games” Tonia laughed.

I lost it the moment I saw her lips spread, I aimed back at Tonia but Alexender held me’ I threw my shoe at her but she dodge it and it bang the door.

If she wasn't fast enough, it would have hit her face. I wish it did. I wish.

Alexander still heard me, his scent that was once soothing to my nose suddenly irritated me, I break loosed from his grip.

“Alex this was a damn game to you all along right?” I hit his chest, he looked at me like I was exploding over nothing.

“She was never your sister”. I pointed at Tonia but she bluff, mocking me.

“You guys had it all coming, I was dumb, I was a fool, but really”. I hit his chest hard waiting for answers, just anything to tell me what felt right was wrong.

Anything to calm the chaos in my head that I wasn't just chipped away from what rightfully belongs to me.

“Sofia I can explain”. Alexander said calmly.

“Explain what?!”. I screamed over the roof.

Alexander lost his patience and faced me, his face cold.His eyes blazing.

He was tired of trying to calm me, I wasn't buying it.

I found out.

I found out about everything.

But it was too late.

Too late to fuxed things…

“Alright then go to hell”. He blurted out, I closed my mouth in shock covering it with both hands.

“Yeah she's not my sister, that woman right there is my world”. He pointed to Tonia, she smiled and blew him a kiss raising my anger.

“You maran nothing to me”. He muttered.

“NOTHING”. Alexander hiy the desk, loud enough for his words to ring in my ears.

“Alex”. I whispered.

“You had better sit your ass, and be of good conduct if you still want to be involved in the decision of my company”. Alexander finally said, his voice filled with authority.

In our four years of being together, I had never seen him like that.

His eyes wasn't the same.

He didn't look at me like he used to.

“Your company?”. I asked confused.

“Did you forget?”. He walked over to Tonia, she rubbed his chest seductively.

It spite me.

I felt jealous.

I felt like pouring my anger on her, dragging her hair and hitting her face continuously till she begged for mercy.

“You signed the paper” he paused “ bless the soul of your father for raising such a gullible child”. Alexander said flatly.

Alexander stood up, he held her bag, she walked right in front of him out of the conference hall, Alexander spanking her ass from behind.

Their laughter echoing down the hallway till it faded.

I stood still.

I stood  frozen like the statue of liberty.

I was actually gullible.

Alexander was right.

I left the wealthy and prominent suitors to be a man I brushed up.

The saying that say the poor would milk dry, it wasn't a lie anyways.

I wasn't going to cry just yet, I wasn't going to show that part out.

Not here 

Not at the office

Anyone could be watching.

I walked to my office, heels echoing, the staffs bowing when they saw me.

I got to the office but something felt different.

The whole science in front of me wasn't the usual.

My bags thrown to the floor, it's content scattered and my sir.

Someone was seated there, back turned to me.

“Have you lost it?!”. I roared.
