Chapter 94

Ryan’s point of view

The lie was our mother suddenly went unconscious during our family date, and we’d like to know what happened to her.

She’s been rushed in for blood tests and we were told to wait for medical conclusions. So Vee and I are stuck here at the lobby hoping my instincts on mom’s health are wrong.

“Won’t you call Seb to let him know about your current crisis?” Vee quipped, breaking the heavy silence lined between us.

I shook my head negatively. I presume she doesn’t know about the accusations pitted against Seb, or the current situation at the company.

I’m still yet to decide how I’d handle him. How I’m to confront Seb without letting my emotions get the best of me, or cloud my judgment after the confrontation.

Because what reason could he possibly have for being the one who later stabbed me in the back? He sabotaged our relationship and my trust in him.
