Chapter 49~ You lied to me

Oliver led Claire into the Ford Paradise hotel, going to the VIP section of the hotel restaurant. He was carrying Thalia in his arms and Quinn had excused herself after reading the room

After arriving at one of the private booths, Claire turned to Oliver and asked, “Can I talk to my daughter first? We can’t just drop a bomb on her.”

Oliver frowned, not wanting to leave his daughter even for a minute but he understood. He didn’t want to confuse Thalia either.

Nodding, he placed Thalia on the floor and replied, “I’ll be close.”

However, Thalia grabbed his pants before he could move. She glanced up at him with large doe eyes and said, “Don’t go, Uncle.”

After calming down, she no longer addressed Oliver as her ‘daddy’ knowing her mother didn’t like it.

Oliver felt a pang of pain in his heart. He was Thalia’s biological father and yet, she called him uncle. His stomach twisted with guilt knowing it was his fault that he was not in his daughter's life from her time of birth.
