Chapter 97~ Misunderstanding

Claire was quiet on the way back home. Her eyebrows met as she thought of the fight she just had with Oliver…

‘He must be really angry that I lied to him,’ she mused, feeling the familiar painful tug in her chest.

When will the pain end? She had never known true happiness for the last six years apart from when she had her daughter and the last few weeks when things between Oliver and herself got better.

However, it seemed the heavens never wanted her to be happy. Misfortune kept following her the way a moth is drawn to a flame. It was like she was a magnet for pain.

Now, she had lost Oliver forever. He was going to marry another woman and make a family with her. Where would that leave Thalia then? How would she explain to her daughter that they couldn't live with her father as a family since he was marrying someone else?
